Cabin under disco?

We've booked interior cabin 1048 on Noordam. Someone mentioned it is beneath the disco (I normally check out those things, but neglected to this time). Anyway, there is also a cabin available in the same location, but starboard side, and it's under the Piano Bar.

Does anybody have any experience with a cabin under the disco on Noordam? Gives the typical demographics on HAL, I'm guessing the disco isn't too lively late at night, but just thought I would get opinions from those who have been in cabins in that location.

TIA

I have. I never heard a thing, but then I could sleep through the Second Coming. :D

I've stayed in the Main Deck forward area inside cabins on many of the Vista/Signature ships, but usually on starboard, and usually a little further back from your cabin. The area above slightly more mid-ship, starboard, is a passageway, or the area between the Queen's Lounge and the Casino. There's nothing there to make noise.

I wouldn't switch to under the Piano Bar. Not only is there a similar chance of noise, but it's too far to walk to any place aft of mid-ship.

I know cabin 1048 is 207 sq. ft.

Anybody know if I go to a Cat. I on deck 6 (specifically 6067 or 6071) if they are the same size?

Not sure if these are smaller but I have heard that the I cabins on deck 8 are also large.

I would never book a stateroom beneath the (Northern Lights) Disco, Galley, Lido Pool Deck (or adjacent/across from the 'Launderettes'! ;)

The best verandah cabin we ever had was under the Lido pool deck on the Nieuw A. The only time we heard noise was the night of the Dessert Extravaganza, for about 90 minutes.

Ok, so I called my TA today and changed my cabin to 8049. My understanding is that it is the largest of the interior cabins (233 sq ft) besides the accessible cabins.

It cost $20/pp more to move to this cabin because it's a cat "I" and I was previously in a "J". But that $40 will be well worth it, I think
