Trainman-2 Posted December 16, 2013 Author #53 Share Posted December 16, 2013 Best and fastest check in ever! And an easy walk onto the ship. No steam ramps to go up.

Trainman-2 Posted December 16, 2013 Author #57 Share Posted December 16, 2013 High today in Tampa was 67 degrees f. Judith has the heat cranked all of the way up in the cabin and I am not complaining. Everyone is freezing and wearing their white RCI Robes. Trainman-2 Posted December 16, 2013 Author #58 Share Posted December 16, 2013 When we walked in the cabin for the first time, Judith said "This place is tiny! It is the smallest cabin we have ever had! Keep in mind that we got a last minute Balcony Guarantee for only $299 each. There is no doubt that we got the balcony that nobody else wanted! The suitcases wouldn't fit under the bed so they are in the closet and the walkers are stacked on top of the mini couch. But we are happy to be at sea again for such a reasonable price! They said an hour ago that it would be working in 30 minutes. Welcome to my world last week! I bought two Internet packages but was pleasantly surprised and happy that the C&A Internet discount was applied to both packages I bought! Keeping my fingers crossed for you. :-) And hey, enjoy it being 5 O'Clock all the time. :-) I loved that time warp. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - Please excuse any errors. dixieva Posted December 16, 2013 #63 Share Posted December 16, 2013 Jim- try having Judith lift up a little on one side of the bed while you slide the suitcases under it. That has worked for us in the past. If that works then maybe you could put the walkers in the closet. Have fun!

Trainman-2 Posted December 17, 2013 Author #67 Share Posted December 17, 2013 What Did I Learn Today? I learned that when I use Valet Parking and hand my car keys to the Valet I should remove the keys to the locks on our suitcases first!   But Maintenance saved the day and sent a guy with some small bolt cutters to cut off the locks. :) :) :)
Trainman-2 Posted December 17, 2013 Author #68 Share Posted December 17, 2013 It is past my bed time and we are both stuffed from an excellent dinner in CHOPS! Aldeya Posted December 17, 2013 #69 Share Posted December 17, 2013 First we had MrFunintheSun and now Trainman...all we need now is another Bugsy, Gambee and a Radio review! :):p;) Add to this lineup the Bionic man's review and we are all set:D
Trainman-2 Posted December 17, 2013 Author #70 Share Posted December 17, 2013 I have figured out one of the problems with the Ship's WiFi System. It doesn't like "Google Chrome" which is the browser I use. So I log on using MS Internet Explorer and then minimize it to save the "Log Off" page. Then I open "Google Chrome" and have all of my favorite sites book marked and available to me.
Trainman-2 Posted December 17, 2013 Author #71 Share Posted December 17, 2013 (edited) Last night we had diner with Kathie & Jack in Chops. Everything was excellent, as always! Judith ordered Lamb Chops and they cam but they didn't have any Mint Jelly to go with them. They had a sauce (named forgotten) designed to go with the Mixed Grill. Neither Judith nor I liked it. NOTE: Judith has ordered Lamb Chops before on other ships and they always sent someone to the main kitchen to get her some mint jelly. Trainman-2 Posted December 17, 2013 Author #72 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Near the entrance to the Schooner Lounge is this giant half-model of a 6 masted sloop. The crew was small because they used steam winches to raise and lower the sails on the 6 masts.
Trainman-2 Posted December 17, 2013 Author #73 Share Posted December 17, 2013 After dinner we went to the Casino Bar where we could smoke. On the way we passed this couch that Judith and Kathy both liked.
Trainman-2 Posted December 17, 2013 Author #74 Share Posted December 17, 2013 Just before we went to dinner, the ship went under the Sunshine Sky Way Bridge. As we went under the bridge it was too dark for photos with my little camera but I got some nice ones as we approached the bridge.
Trainman-2 Posted December 17, 2013 Author #75 Share Posted December 17, 2013 No live post can be truly complete without a photo of a train! I saw this old switch engine which belongs to the port railroad parked across from the ship.
