Our Christmas and New year's cruise on the Oosterdam

There was also a pool at the aft of the Lido deck.

We never sat out there as there were too many smokers out there and it stunk! :(

They didn't have the comfortable deck chairs back there. :)

 

I don't remember those "chairs" at the end of the pool. Now I know why I don't remember much about the pools - we were on a cruise to ALASKA and never went to the pool. Duh :o

I will be on the Oosterdam starting on Jan 19 out of Sydney and am a little leery about my trip. The recent reviews on CC have all really emphasized the bad food, poor service, bad sanitation and general rattiness of the ship. So I went to see the sanitation score; found that the last time she was inspected, she was just 2 points above failing and no improvement plan was submitted. Someone please tell me it isn't so.

I would like to Mussel up to the bar and order my drink. I would say to the barman, "Oy stir my martini, don't shake it".:D
