About 12 years ago, when my daughter was perhaps 6 or 7,  We arrived in Freeport on a cruise.  I was on our balcony for the approach and docking.  My daughter sleepily walked out to stand next to me, took a look, and said "The rest of the Bahamas is prettier, right?"

I'm wondering if anybody in the boards has sailed to Grand Bahama on Royal Caribbean and what their experiences were. Is there a reason they seldom stop in Freeport?

 

Should we venture out or enjoy the solarium that day?

I suppose they will be stopping there more frequently now.....I read that Royal has purchased (or is intending to) a hotel/resort property for their guests on Grand Bahama. I am wondering if it will be free or will they be selling a day pass.

We enjoyed Garden of the Groves in Freeport. It was one of the Carnival ship's excursions
