Reasonable Hotel on the Beach near Cruise Port

We are planning another cruise on December 13th, 2014 on the Ruby, can anyone recommend a decent fair priced hotel on the beach near the cruise port? Appreciate your help.

Also look on tripadvisor.com. They have people recommending hotels all the time. And have several cell phone apps. Never stayed overnight in Fort Lauderdale.

Hilton Beach Resort is excellent. Right on the beach and near everything.

The Marriott in Hollywood FL is on the beach and about 6 miles away from the cruise port.

Try one of the hotel sites. Looks like your dates are just prior to the high season. Take a look at the Bahia Mar.

If you are staying for one night and willing to take a chance you can always bid on Priceline. You pick the area and your price and give them a credit card number. Once you hit send hotels will look at your offer and if they like your bid you will have a room. You pick by area and stars. I think one through 5 stars. We have had some pretty nice places and some that we couldn't understand why they called them 5 stars. None was horrible.

You should do very well for the 12th of Dec. Pre Xmas prices. A moderate and popular beach hotel is Doubletree's Bahia Mar. Book in the tower rooms. All the rest of the beach hotels will run more.

I'd defnitely look on the discount sites for that night.

Novo, Where is there a Hampton Inn on the beach near Port Everglades? :confused:

Correct. No Hampton Inn on beach. The beach hotels will not have shuttles from the airport. To the port in the morning, a quick $10-15 cab ride is the way to go.
