We shot skeet off the stern of Tropicale in 1986. Bet they wouldn't hand you a loaded shotgun on a ship nowdays..I believe you could drive golf balls as well..

Our first Carnival cruise was on the Tropical in 1988 to the Mexican Riviera. Here she is in Cabo - lousey scan from a slide :o

We sailed her for our honeymoon in 2000. Went to Cozumel and grand cayman. So tiny compared to today's ships.

Our first cruise was on the Tropicale. We weren't sure if we'd like it so we only booked a 5 day. We immediately wished we'd booked a longer cruise. That said, I don't want to be on a small ship again. Our next cruise was on the Triumph. When we arrived at the port we were blown away by how huge the ship looked after our memories of the Tropicale.

I ordered a Carnival brochure back in middle school (mid-90s) and the Tropicale had a 15-night southern Caribbean itinerary that I was obsessed over. :)

My very first cruise was on tha Azure Seas out of San Pedro, I remember they had skeet shootng on that ship

We came "THIS" close to sailing the Tropicale. We were looking for a different itinerary, and figured it was time to do the Southern Caribbean out of San Juan.

 

And then they swapped out the Tropicale for the Fascination.

 

In hind site, I think we made out.

We had Bob Hamill as a CD in the 80's. We found him to be VERY good.

 

He's in Tennessee these days.
