Out Of Control Gift Bags for Upcoming NOS Girls Cruise

Recommended Posts

Love your gift baggies. All joking aside, did you happen to include an Imodium package for the "food that is too rich".

I can't think of a rhyme for the little zip lock package.

Ahh, Badger...we forgot Imodium for the other two that probably won't need our tea.

Love all your ideas! I really enjoy making gift bags for our group cruises also. We have a group of 32 sailing in June. Some other things that I'm adding in our goodie bags are lanyards with badge holders for the sea passes, bubbles for sailaway, clothespins to hang wet clothes, air fresheners for the bathrooms and zip ties to lock our luggage with. Any ideas for cute sayings for the tags on those? I'm definitely creatively challenged ;)

Thanks everyone. And Tigerlady, I'm right there with ya; the planning and putting everything together is entirely too much fun!! I just love it.

I REALLY like the tags. Did you put them together, use stickers, or specialized paper??

Imodium! Of course, how could we have gotten this? Glad this was mentioned in an earlier post - now let's get to rhyming Jennieboo!

And Gambler, we leave April 6 which leaves me a few more weeks to keep adding to the bags!

Oh my gosh, adorable! You should submit this to one of the magazines, like Better homes and Gardens; they do people's crafts and "party ideas".... So great, and I'm so relieved not blocked for being nasty!:D (and I wasn't suggesting you had put something inappropriate, but sometimes things get misinterpreted, for instance I did a review of Galapagos and it xxx'd out every reference to the famous blue footed birds, even though I had no bad intentions;)

Thanks for sharing!

Fun idea! I cannot believe all the stuff you are buying/providing for your friends. Would you mind making 3 more bags and sending my way to give to my girls? :D I am taking them on a mother/daughter cruise in 2 weeks.

Seriously, I am already paying for their cruise, flight, hotel, food/drinks... before we board, and all land transportation we might need. I think I am doing enough. Now the girls are trying to talk me into pre-cruise shopping trips and a day at the spa.

Love your ideas. What a great friend. What a nice way to start out a cruise.

BTW..No Tylenol for hangovers..use to take in my younger years when we tended to drink a little too much sometimes. Now because of the liver it is advised to avoid with alcohol.

Have fun on your cruises.

TigerLady, I made the tags with thick cardstock and spray glue. I find a "free: clipart image online and use that for the tags - print it on the thick white cardstock with the "rhyme", and cut those out to the size I want. Spray glue the backside of the printed tags and stick to the thick colored cardstock and voila, the tags are done! Super easy, just DO NOT use the spray glue indoors - it's super tacky and gets everywhere, there is some trial and error involved. I get the cardstock at Joann's Fabric and always use a 40% off coupon. :-)

I think they're really cute as well! Any ideas on how to do gift bags for kids on a cruise? Would be 8 and 10 at the time. I have no idea what to put in them for kids!

Ok, here are a few pics of some kids goodie gifts I did for my 18 month olds 1st birthday. First things first, almost all items were from Dollar Tree and nothing was purchased as full price (this stuff can add up too quickly if you're not careful). We did sandbuckets, which are probably too large to take on a cruise but it's what's inside that counts :-)

Gummy shark/swedish fish skewers (bamboo sticks and clear bags from Dollar Tree)

Bubbles (3 pack from Dollar Tree)

Crazy straws (10 for $1.00)

Printed individual coloring pages on thick cardstock and tied together 4 crayons with twine (Google free cruise/pirate/boat coloring pages)

Goldfish crackers

Possibly stickers/silly putty/blow-up beach balls - they usually start bringing out the fun cheap pool stuff after March.

I think your bags are really cute.

But I would not package medications in ziplock bags. They are not labeled correctly (meaning no manufacturer labeling and directions), which is never a good idea when you are travelling, and the packaging is easily opened if these items are brought into contact anywhere with young children.

Otherwise, good job.

Badger's friends absolutely know how lucky we are to have her. She's the bestest! I know I'm so glad my dumb ex boyfriend introduced us. She's definitely been a bright spot in my life. Love you Kel! (Sorry to get all sappy on here...)
