I would have liked to see the promenade staterooms have balconies. Maybe on the next class of ship.

I think the bowling alley is out. I read they couldn't engineer it. Pool tables is one thing, but bowling pins and balls at sea were just too much to achieve.

Did anybody else notice that on http://www.freedomoftheseas.com they are now featuring a "tour" around the solarium instead of the H2O Zone? I can't wait to try out those whirlpools! There are also shipyard pictures, videos and interviews on the site.

STable Bowling is a stabilized platform enabling passengers to enjoy a game of bowling at sea.

 

 

 

 

The lanes must be oriented along the ship and only the roll movements are stabilized. The pitch movements are very small and will for all practical reasons not affect the game. I am not so sure. RCCL had the opportunity to charge for many activities onboard their ships i.e. the rock climbing wall, the ice skating rink, the inline skating track, miniature golf, etc. The thing is though, they didn't. How many times have people come on these boards asking how much RCCL charges for these items? RCCL had the opportunity but they didn't take it. I am not saying they should have either.

I think there will be some to charge for, but others that there is no charge for.

If I remember correct they started the Rock climbing with a charge but had to waive it as passengers didn´t pay for it.

 

I´m also thinking to remember there has been a charge for mini-golf firsthand too.

Reading the past reviews for the Legend and Splendour, it shows that a LONG time ago they did charge for golf on those ships. But I haven't heard of any charges anywhere near recent!

Well, I guess I was wrong. It wasn't the first time and it most definitely won't be the last.:D

 

The main thing though is that they don't charge for them now.
