Alaskanb Posted April 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 25, 2014 My grandfather, a UK private in the 2nd Battalion Royal Fusiliers on HMS Implacable, was injured shortly after the landing on X beach. He had a crease in his skull from the bullet wound that let our childhood imaginations run wild. Thankfully he was quickly evacuated and survived so the rest of our family was born. He always recognized Anzac day.
