ged1967 Posted May 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 24, 2014 We just got off Adventure of the Seas and had the Premium ($55/day) Package included wine by glass to $14 and $12 for cocktails. All beers included (except Fosters Oil Can) Here are prices from the price list (Departure 8th May 2014) (* This is the heading on each page) *Royal 'ritas from $9.45 to $10.50 *Tropical Treasures from £7.25 to $10.00 *Frozen Fun (frozen cocktails) $8.00 to $9.75 *Martini Madness $9.50 to $12.00 *Teas & Lemonade (Alcoholic) $7.25 to $10.75 *Bubbles & Bloodys $6.75 to £8.90 (Alcohol free Bloody Mary (Bloody Shame) $2.60) House bubbles from Champagne bar $8.00 *After Dinner $7.00 to £9.50 *American Premium Beers $5.50 to £6.00 (not fosters oil ($8)) *Beers of the world $5.50 Wine: *Chardonnay $9 to $18/glass *Pinot Grigio £10/glass *Sauvignon Blanc $11/glas *Adventurous Whites $9 to $14/glass *Blush $8/glass *Pinot Nior $10 to $11/glass *Merlot $11/glass *Shiraz $8/glass *Cabernet Sauvignon $10 to $12/glass *Malbec £10/glass Non Alcoholic Cocktails $4.50 Diet coke (can, or I think glass too) $2.50 Most of what we drank during our cruise was around $8 a drink. On a port day we would consume perhaps: 2x diet coke; 2x blush wine (at dinner); 4 assorted drinks during the evening On a sea day it would be more: 2x diet coke; 2x alcohol free cocktails; 2x blush wine at dinner; 4 assorted drinks in evening. Port day = $53 + 15% tip Sea day = $62 + 15% tip So on average, IMO, if you have around 6 alcoholic drinks and some soft drinks per day you will get your moneys worth. If you are on a package and you order the cocktail of the day ($7.50) you don't get the glass and are therefore not charged for the glass. I'm sure if you want one they will give you it and charge accordingly. As a side note. In the MDR they come round and offer you an after dinner drink in a special glass. If you are on a package the glass will cost you $4.50 for the shot glass. We only saw them twice on our 15 nighter!
just4kixx Posted May 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 24, 2014 Thanks for taking the time to post all this information. It answers a lot of my questions. I'll probably print this page out to share with my fellow cruisers. A~

Tosara21 Posted May 24, 2014 #4 Share Posted May 24, 2014 Thanks for your detailed info. Have been very undecided whether to buy the package for our trip on Indy in Sept. Seems like our drinking habits are very similar, and we will now purchase. Thanks once again.
JohnScot Posted May 24, 2014 #5 Share Posted May 24, 2014 The new website looks great but I cannot find the comparison list that shows you the difference betwen the drinks packages. Previously you could compare them side by side and see what was included. Anyone find this is in the new website

JohnScot Posted May 24, 2014 #7 Share Posted May 24, 2014 Thanks, I seen this one. It used to be easy to compare side by side and it told you about what water was included in each package, and fresh orange and speciality teas/coffees were only included in Ultimate. Don't know if this is still correct as it doesn't go into this detail.

TheGaDawgFan Posted May 25, 2014 #14 Share Posted May 25, 2014 This is great info and matches (from memory) what we saw on the Freedom. We also drank a few bottles of water a day, and that made it even more worth it. We'd get a few the night before to take on our excursions in the morning. Doc2725 Posted May 25, 2014 #15 Share Posted May 25, 2014 So basically, the only difference between premium and ultimate is the availability of non-alcoholic beverages? I thought with the ultimate you could get more expensive cocktails and wine than with the premium?
Jooools Posted May 25, 2014 #16 Share Posted May 25, 2014 Nice, easy to follow info. Thank you for taking the time to post. My head has been spinning trying to work it out comparing drink menus etc etc. Your post made it simple. Definitely, definitely premium or ultimate for DH, he will most certainly derive benefit from it and probably send RCI broke in the process ;)

There is no difference between the Premium and Ultimate packages with regard to the alcoholic beverages that are included.

thebooth Posted May 25, 2014 #19 Share Posted May 25, 2014 (edited) Did this recently change in price per drink allowable in the premium package? I was on the Oasis in March and the mixed drinks included were up to $10 and wine by the glass was up to $12, but your post is $2 higher per item? OP was on a European cruise and there are different limits European cruises. The packages cover the same drinks as US based cruises, but have higher limits because the menus on European cruises include gratuity, so they change the limits to include gratuity. Mac n cheese Posted May 25, 2014 #22 Share Posted May 25, 2014 I,m really confused as to whether water is included in premium package.? I have just been on Cruise Countdown to look at the different packages and it says water not included yet reviews say it is !!! No water in a bottle was not included in my premium package. I meet a girl on the ship that had the UP while I had the PP, she said that really she would never do the UP again because the extra $10 wasn't worth it for a bottle of water, and the fresh squeezed oj wasn't easy to get.
