Ok Guys, been reading about all the "free cruise offers" so Ive been checking daily ( sometimes more than once a day) I checked last night , maybe around 9:00 under my husbands VIFP, under offers and I only had the same ole "up to 200.00 onboard credit offer" that has pretty much been there for weeks. This morning I log on & in addition to that there is an offer stating Past Guest Offer w/ choice of stateroom, it doesnt say free , I called Carnival & they cant even see that offer, only the very first one, so anyone know what that means? I spoke with 2 people at Carnival, neither can see the offer Im talking about, they suggested I call the promo dept at 8:00. Any thoughts ?

Thanks!

Bonnie

I've never seen anything like that, so maybe your best bet would be to call the promo dept. Hopefully, the offer is legitimate and not a glitch in the system.

For those who have gotten the free cruise, how did you find out????

I went to book my moms birthday cruise, around the same time the free cruises were popping up on here. So, I went to the Carnival main page, and clicked on "cruise deals," then past guest offers, then "VIFP Offers," and when I put in her VIFP number, the free cruise was there along with a Past Guest Offer with 2 category upgrade which is always there (on my page and heres). She'll be the free cruise next week which ends a day before her actually birthday, and her birthday cruise with the rest of the family in August.

I found out initially when my PVP left a phone message. It was listed as Pack & Play when you look it up under VIFP offers online - $100 for interior cabin with a $100 onboard credit. Also, this was definitely through the Players Club (Casino). I've been on 10 cruises & have been a Players Club member from cruise one, and this is the first time I've gotten this kind of deal - so, I'm thinking it's pretty much random chance among casino players.

Doubt that it's a free offer as mine says the same thing and no where does it say "free." Mine says 2 upgrades - nothing to write home about. Even if it were "free" it still isn't free as you will still have to pay for tips, etc., port taxes, etc. I did get one those "free" cruises a while back and after tallying up all the expenses to get the "free" cruise, it wasn't worth it.

We leave on our 'free' cruise next Saturday. We got a letter in the mail on Carnival letterhead. It was not a casino offer. When I logged onto our VIFP account, it showed there. We never received an email as some have reported.

The 'free' cruise was free except for port fees & taxes. We paid the $70 pp to upgrade from the free interior to a balcony, so with port fees, prepaid gratuities, etc our total for 7 days on the Magic was $451. Definitely worth it.

Got a letter in the mail addressed to my husband with his VIFP#. Looked like junk mail. He had tossed it aside without reading it. Thank goodness he didn't throw it away. We leave next Saturday on the Liberty. We always book a balcony, so we upgraded to an aft wrap for $80/pp. we even got the insurance because we booked so far in advance. Prepaid gratuities, port fees & taxes added in & our total is $577. My neighbor got the same letter a few weeks later with a different window if dates. They booked the same cruise in October!

I got an email with the Pack and Play offer yesterday. $100 per cabin and $100 OBC. I called within 6 hours of getting the email (was out of town) to book out of Galveston, and the "special" was sold out (capacity controlled) for the Galveston sailing on the Magic. I called the casino office this morning and was told that those free cruises go very quickly in Galveston. That sux. :(

No free cruise, sorry!! I'm just like you, i keep looking the VIFP offers tab religiously every day. I saw the post last night where someone mentioned this offer, so that's why i knew when i logged on Carnival this morning and saw this 'past guest" offer that it was nothing special.

Darn!!!

I would love a free cruise right now!!

Try to book a cruise. Select the option of "past guest deals" The price of the cruise is on the right. When we had our free offer, the price of the cabin was 0 dollars. Only the port fees were there.

I will be following this because my husband's VIFP number has the same offer. But when you click details it links to some short cruises that are not free. ;0(
