Otterman34 Posted August 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2014 Please say it ain't so.... When I was on the Freedom Jan.'14, this was not on the ship. The reserved sign is altered and I do not know if it is for Suite guests or other "exclusive members" The worst possibility (IMHO) is that RCI is charging for this area, ala the cabanas on Labadee or Coco Cay. Any recent Freedom cruisers, please let me know what's up.....
Clarea Posted August 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2014 Those cabanas were extra cost, and I thought they were an experiment that did not last. I'd also be interested to know if they are still being offered.
Rare Mrs_Tiki Posted August 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 11, 2014 (edited) Not on the Freedom last week. No sign of cabanas or reserved seats for suite guests in the tiered area. Edited August 11, 2014 by Mrs_Tiki spelling
Rare S.A.M.J.R. Posted August 11, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2014 I never saw them on our cruise in June.
Rare orville99 Posted August 11, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2014 The cabanas were gone, but the tiered area was reserved for suites when we were on FOS in May. Didn't care about reserved seating, since we never use that area anyway, but they stole half of the cushioned loungers from the solarium and put them there. The solarium had half cushioned loungers, and half standard blue and white pool chairs.:(
Otterman34 Posted August 11, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted August 11, 2014 Thank you for the quick replies. I would have been one of the people complaining to guest services and writing a letter to Adam if this were still the case. ....taking a deep breath...27 days until my cruise :)

thegima Posted August 11, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 11, 2014 Yea.. I can't imagine those going over too well esp. for additional $$. Im sure they'd be fun to watch when the winds get up over 30mph though.
