The reception is daily or only on weekdays?

 

What kind of drinks they offer?

It is daily from 5.30-7.30. Wine, budweiser beer, drink of the day, popcorn, pretzels, dips, ect.

Everyday from 5:30 to 6:30. You can get basic mixed drinks. Bloody Marys, beer, wine, etc.

The snacks usually always have popcorn and pretzels, and we have had others like chips and salsa.

You can get 2 drinks at a time.

We for sure get our money's worth.

If you want to sit there longer, stock up on a couple drinks towards the end.

The managers recepotion is tvery day, for two hours each day, not one.

 

The offer most mixed drinks, though not with top shelf booze. House white and red. One or two beers.

We had the same experience as CruiserBruce did with drinks being served for two hours.

 

The do a nice job between the reception and the morning breakfast.

I agree, DW and myself go to Duffy's after the reception for something to eat.

When we were there in May, they were serving bottled beer instead of the cups of draft beer which was nice...

You can call and confirm, but it was 5:30-7:30 in February.

They can vary the hours. We have stayed in a lot of ES (Hilton Diamond), and have seen 5-7 and 4:30-6:30. The Tahoe ES used to change their hours winter vs summer seasons.

 

I would agree most manager's receptions are 5:30-7:30, but not all.

I found that toward the end of the reception, the bartender know what I was drinking and would just start lining them up for me to come and get. We ordered pizza and went to bed afterwards.

No, just cheap snack food.

No....just pretzels, potato chips, popcorn, ranch dip, chips & salsa...and a bit stale tasting :eek:

You can get Pizza from the menu in the bar. Was very good.

The bar at Embassy shares some space with their restaurant..so you can order off the menu.

We had the best Sangria there last year. Manager made it himself (or so he told me!)

Is Duffy's walking distance?

Yes, Duffy's is right across the street in the plaza that sits behind the Embassy. We had cocktails until 730pm and then walked thru the pool area to the other side from the plaza and ate at Outback. Plenty to choose from within walking distance. And lots of stores in the plaza to pick up stuff in the morning to take on the ship. I don't remember being charged for internet???
