First time on X - questions

We are spending 28 nights on the Eclipse doing the TA and Caribbean from November 9th.

 

Due to getting an upgrade for $14 for the second leg we will now change cabins. We have done many b2b's on Royal.

 

Is the change over handled the same, i.e. a back to back meeting, leave the ship in a group and get back on straight away, credit card details carried forward, etc.

 

Electrical outlets - two flat pin US outlets?

 

Is the Elite lounge still available 5-7 or is it more common to have drinks vouchers?

Is the change over handled the same, i.e. a back to back meeting, leave the ship in a group and get back on straight away, credit card details carried forward, etc. Customs/immigration may be a bit more involved, although we will clear immigration in Port Canaveral (and New York) so the process may be a bit different. Also, there will be inspections by Coast Guard and others so that MAY delay reboarding.

 

Electrical outlets - two flat pin US outlets? 2 US, 1 European

 

Is the Elite lounge still available 5-7 or is it more common to have drinks vouchers? Won't know until we board. Have had it both ways on TA's. Likely you will have the lounge on the Caribbean portion but no way of telling.

We will be on the TA portion with you and we did the EB TA in April.

We are also on the TA portion with you. B2B procedures are as you describe although if you don't want to stay on the ship I believe you can disembark at any time but have to wait until they start boarding again but you can just embark with an in-transit pass. If you stay on the ship they walk you off and back on.

 

There was another thread about some real good deals in the last few days on the 11/23 sailing. Hope you got a good upgrade. We did on the TA but was more than $14:)

I presume you are Elite and therefore will be getting some free Internet minutes, as well as the other perks. You cannot carry over unused minutes.

Likely you will have vouchers for the TA and the Elite Lounge for the Caribbean.

The $14 was the difference in gratuities! We are moving from an outside cat 8 to a concierge balcony.

Strange thing was that X would not upgrade us a month ago when the prices came down but our travel agent managed to get us upgraded a few days ago onto a concierge guarantee. (we use an American travel agent)

We have done B2B on most cruiselines but Celebrity are different in that they close your account on the first cruise and charge your CC. You then start the second afresh even if you are in the same cabin you get a new seapass

If you stay on the ship, they give you your next seapass (usually the night before), you will meet up as a group and walk off the ship check out using your old seapass card. You will go down off the ship, say hi to customs with your intransit card in hand and return back to the ship using your new seapass card to check in.

 

If you get off the ship, you can't get back on until boarding time and you must have a new seapass card to check in. If they have not given it to you before you left, you will need to stand in line and get it. The intransit card itself will not get you on the ship. You must have your seapass card.

The above posts pretty much lay it all out. The b2b procedures sometimes vary a little but the staff will fill you in ahead of time.

 

The cabins have two North American 110V grounded outlets (two flat prongs plus ground) and one 220V round European style outlet.
