Forward facing penthouse vs courtyard penthouse

We are currently booked in a forward facing penthouse deck 12 on BA. I notice today a price drop on the courtyard penthouse to the same price we paid for the forward.

It is me, DE and DS. The space and the private bedroom definitely nice but is it worth the less space to actually be in the Haven?

I also favor the forward facing penthouse. My kids were in a courtyard penthouse and my brother and his son were in the FF room in the summer of 2013 on the BA. I loved the FF penthouse! The courtyard penthouse was plenty nice but felt much smaller due to only being one room. Whatever you decide, have a great cruise!

We have booked a forward facing penthouse because it was cheaper and it's bigger.

Our first cruise on the Epic was in a spasuite (=outside the Haven) and that was not a problem for us. It was a short walk to the Haven but then we spent more time outside the Haven and that was nice too. We always walked over the public sundeck on our way to breakfast.

I am one to try to learn something new every day. So can you educate me on who a DE is?

We finally decided on the forward PH on the Getaway. Like you we went back and forth on which would be better. We want more space and being "in" the Haven was just not that important. We can visit it when we want but we also enjoy wandering the whole ship and people watching. When we want to relax and have some peaceful time we will retreat to the Haven.
