What can you do / can't do on a two day cruise?

Booked this two day cruise. Looking at Cagney's or LeFouret for one night.

But I see that you can't get the drink or liquor unlimited deals. So I was wondering what else don't they do? Do they normally have similar shows and music?

Usually no room service and the minibar is emptied on weekend cruises.

There will be no latitudes gathering... You will not receive typical latitudes benefits you might expect if you are Gold or Platinum... (i.e. the free dinner in Le Bistro for platinum members... and so on).

 

Typically, because you haven't visited a foreign port, there will be no customs declarations meaning there is no limit on cigarette and alcohol purchases.

 

Other than that, your two-night cruise will be like any other... There will be entertainment and activities you would expect.

 

You will notice the staff will not be as invested in you as they would in a larger cruise. Service in specialty restaurants will be worse because capacity will be full for the most part from open to close.

The biggest differences I remember was no room service.

You don't get to relax. First night is getting settled. Next night is getting ready to leave.

 

With that said, if you realize it is just a party trip, then go for it.

That makes sense, you would not need more than a carry-on.

Except some are staying onboard for the next cruise too. You can ask for someone to help if the need arises.

In 2013 we began to have to fill out a customs card to hand in once leaving all cruises to nowhere. They are now checking how much liquor and cigarettes people purchase. You also pay a tax on the liquor on board (not sure aboug ciggies--didn't notice cuz I didn't buy.)

We have always had good service and enjoyed everything on the 1 or 2 nighters. Just a fun weekend getaway. I think they're great. :)

On our last two-nighter on the Breakaway, there was no room service, even for suites, and they would not unlock our minibar. One time thing? Not sure.

Actually, 2-night cruises out of south florida usually go to Nassau for the day (or possibly GSC for NCL), so you do get shore excursions (and customs) down here.

On a 2 day, you can't relax....it's unpack, and repack. A 2 day cruise isn't worth it, unless you live within 2 hours of port.

I'd probably book a B2B and stay aboard for the next cruise. 1 or 2 nights are not enough for me.

I'm with you, Barb. You'll never catch me on a two nighter. I need at least 7 days. Twelve or fourteen is even better. :D
