Why can't I fly into Hobby Lobby airport in Texas?

If you haven't been to Hobby lately you'd be surprised. It's been completely remodeled, a new international terminal is under construction and it has a new Lobby.

While the correct two-letter IATA airline code is WN, it is not incorrect to refer to Southwest as SWA; the IACO code is SWA and even their phone number is 1-800-I-FLY-SWA. :)

 

Southwest is correct

WN is correct

SWA is correct

Just incase anybody is interested, the three letter identifier that the FAA uses for Southwest is SWA.

We flew into Hobby on Southwest in September and took Uber to the port. We booked transportation back to Hobby while on the cruise. Worked out great.

Is it perhaps Sunday? Remember that Hobby Lobby is closed on Sunday.

My FI (husband at the time of the cruise ;) will be taking a cruise out of Galveston, TX. When looking for flights it looks like the only aiport we can fly into is Houston, but I see there is a closer airport, Hobby Lobby.

 

Any idea why we can't fly to Hobby Lobby? Where did you fly into for your Galveston cruise?

 

LOL I got a good chuckle out of Hobby Lobby.

But we flew into Houston Hobby when we went on our Galveston Cruise. This airport is actually the closer airport of the two airports to Galveston and it's the one I would recommend flying into if you can.

I believe the airport code is HOU.

We flew Delta when we flew in, so you could check Delta's rates and see if they still service HOU. Also check Southwest's site. But if you are looking on the major travel sites that offer hotels, flights and cars all in one site you will not find southwest on there. You need to actually go to their site.
