I should have switch to your table, I had one couple who did not speak English, one couple who were always 20 - 40 minutes late to dinner and one single lady who was sociable.

Would have loved to have you Mike!!

I have been looking forward to this! I noticed in your signature from when you did your Liberty review that you had another cruise on Splendor coming up. I just started today and have myself caught up and am enjoying this review as much as the others and looking forward to the rest. I really enjoyed seeing your pictures sailing out of NYC, that is something we'd love to do someday. Even though some of the pictures are of the same things from your sailaway last year, they look very different. I took just as many pictures sailing out of Miami on Liberty this spring as I did on Glory in 2010 and they are the same but look different. I have to say I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the beautiful picture you got of the Statue of Liberty...I see that one enlarged, framed and nicely displayed in your home. Thank you for taking the time to do another one of your wonderful reviews and looking forward to the rest - this is an itinerary I'd love to do.

Thanks for following along once again! Much more to follow.

Thanks for reading. I'm sure you'll have a great time on the Splendor!

Love your review. We had the Diamond free offer for this cruise but just couldn't make the date work. Wish we had been along but glad you do such wonderful reviews so we can see what we missed.

Pat

Sorry you weren't able to make it, as there is always room for another Diamond. Thanks for following along!

Hello again everybody! Time to tell you about our first of three consecutive sea days…..

CS129.jpg

Since we were sailing south, and my cabin was on the port side, I would be able to watch the sun come up from my balcony on our sea days. I woke up just before 7am, and saw my first sunrise of the cruise…..

Feeling a little hungry, it was time to head up one deck to the Lido for breakfast. The stairways and elevators were just steps away from my cabin…..

The Atrium elevators……

CS142.JPG

I walked up the stairs and out into the Splendido Pool area. Though it was a lot warmer today than yesterday when we boarded, they still had the roof closed…..

I head up the stairs to the Rotisserie to eat my breakfast. There is no one up there, so plenty of table to choose from. Here is my first breakfast of the cruise…..

CS155.JPG

Breakfast done, I head all the way aft to check out the Splendor’s wake…..

The Liner Pool and hot tubs are empty this early…..

I’m feeling like a bloody mary, so I head to the Liner Bar and Gusti sets me up…..

After a couple of those, I decide to take a walk around the ship and take some pictures. Here’s the smoking area on Deck 10 aft, starboard side…..

Nice information regarding the omelet stations.

Did you find the one where the Mongolian station was less crowded then the other one midship?

Once the breakfast rush began, the one that becomes the Mongolian Wok had the longer lines.
