I'm not sure if this is new but I just received an e-mail from Celebrity that they are combining a 15 night transatlantic with a 7 night river cruise on the Rhine.

 

Sounds great to me, but I'd prefer RCCL.

 

Would you go?

I'd love to go, depending on the price. Every time I look at a river cruise, I'm flabbergasted at the pricing.

I like RCL but Celebrity is better for us anyways.

 

I did a 'backpacker' budget 'cruise' on the Rhine many years ago. I'd love to do it again and actually have a bed to sleep on.:D

I would definitely consider it. We are booked up through the times offered but maybe in the future if the opportunity is there.

We have done River Cruises in Europe and truly enjoyed them. I think a combination would be great.

I suspect RCCL as a whole is feeling pressure coming from Viking which not only has a considerable portion of the river cruise market, but has new river cruises being launched as well as brand new ocean going luxury cruise ships as well. I would not be surprised to see them offer similar packages.

 

And yes, if you have the time and money to do so it sounds like an awesome trip to take; the best of both styles of cruising.
