Hi,

 

We were on the Dawn last Oct/Nov for 21 days.

Alain is an amazing HD.

He loves being with passengers and he does like going to the CC meetings.

I think he does read these & I want to send a BIG hello to him.

He can be seen around the ship much of the time.

Also, he knows each crew member by name and he knows about many of their families.

Paulo, Exec Chef is also very, very nice.

I had a problem in a Specialty restaurant & he “fixed” it much better than I ever would have imagined.

Anne Barbazza (Group Service Coordinator) is one of the best ever also.

She will help set up the CC meeting.

We love her & hope you do too.

CD - Dave -well, he is OK.

BTW: I am a sucker for accents, be they Canadian, Aussie, Kiwi, French or what have you...so Dingo Dave should be a right treat (at least in some respects). Just wish we could have faces to go with the names, though ;)

I called ncl concierge # today and I was told John D'Souza is the concierge on the may 10th cruise breakaway.

They don't always provide the correct information at no fault of their own but with last minute changes they don't always get the proper information. We sailed with John in Feb and he said he was staying until May but not sure when in May. We are sailing with him again April 26th I will find out what day he is leaving for sure and report when we get back May 3rd.

I have heard very good things about our HD, CD and GSC. And with our Roll Call fast approaching 200 :eek: I was heartened to hear that Alain is apparently 'big' on CC, welcoming the M&G activities and actually reads NCL, (and maybe RC?) board(s) :D

Oh, that is so nice to hear...lots of folks seem to feel the same way. We have cruised with some of the best, and I will always remember my favorite, John O'Hara on NCL Spirit...so personable and always around :p

We sailed with Tony on the 10 day Feb 27th. He had only been there one month. So I would think he should be with you in June even if he leaves for a month.

Absolutely agree! :D Alain ran our M&G and we had dinner with him on our October 2014 Tropical Storm Fay cruise to Bermuda and he is awesome!

 

Hoping he is on Dawn for our repeat cruise in October! ;)
