Thanks for the info AL25.... Who else is on board? Do you know the names of the Hotel Director, Cruise Director, or Concierge? My Lee and I are sailing on Breakaway next week, and we can't wait!

I don't know who concierge is, but JC Sanchez (love him) is cruise director, and Djamel is still the hotel director.

Bowen the Assistant Concierge will be leaving May 10th and John will be leaving May 31st. They will both be going to Getaway after their vacation but were not sure who was replacing them as of now.

Hello everyone! Just returned from the Dawn Repo cruise NOLA to Boston. Here are the details:

 

Alain Magnier, HD.....he was on top of everything. We liked him a lot!

Deepak Punia, F&B Director

Dave Klooster aka Dingo Dave, CD...loved him!

Carmencita Reid, Ex Housekeeper

Katherine Galope aka KitKat, Guest Services Manager

Paulo Vaz, Ex Chef......THE man to befriend;) food was excellent!

Mihaela Mocan, Restaurant Manager

Manuel Hernandez, Beverage Manager

Anne Barbaza, Group Service Coordinator...the sweetest person I have ever met!

 

We loved the crew and the service from the top down. Alain is a great manager and had everything organized well. The efficiency of his staff, the service with a smile, was fantastic. I am REALLY looking forward to going on the October repositioning and am glad I booked last year when rooms were still available!

 

Thank You Arzeena, glad you could do another Repo. We missed this one.

These comments are spot on. They are the same ones, except the F&B, Guest Service & Bev. Mgr., that we had on the Dawn Repo last Nov 2014! Great Team!

Thanks for the Star updates. I'm thrilled to hear Captain Kostas will likely be on board for our May sailing. Is Ben Kitchen a good Cruise Director? We haven't sailed with him before. Hope you had a wonderful cruise.

 

Sorry for the month delay, I just saw this. Yes, Ben Kitchen is a wonderful CD! Well, he was there as of April 5th when we got off. He's all over, along with his Assist. CD. Ben is very welcoming, engaging and friendly. great accents, British I believe, and his assistant has an Aussie accent. I think you'll like Ben.

You'll find out soon for yourself! Bon Voyage next Monday!

Captain and senior officers on the Star?

 

Does anyone have recent information about who is the captain on the Norwegian Star at the moment? And some of the senior officers? Would also like to know names of the concierge, the cruise director and the on-board cruise consultant.

We are having a great time on the spiffed up Star. We really like the O'Sheehan's space and the atrium looks fantastic. The windows added in the back of Spinnaker Lounger really help.

 

Now for the big news......lobster tails at the seafood buffet tonight. First sea day and first Baltics cruise of the season.

 

F&B Manager and Guest Services Manager are new with the 5/20 cruise. They are both on board now with Vik and Ray. I'll post full list when I'm back.

 

Laundry bag special is back at $24.95

 

Room service charge is $7.95

 

Platinum dinner voucher includes Moderno as well as Le Bistro and La Cucina.

 

Back to the cruise for me.
