Concierge Club drinks

Recommended Posts

We've booked a Grand Suite on Brilliance. In the 'Amenities' section, it mentions a "self serve bar". Are able to pour/obtain drinks at anytime? Just when the Concierge is in attendance?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Well, the CL only has drinks during a certain timeframe, and a bartender or the concierge themselves will make your drinks. Alcohol is served during the "cocktail"hours...about 5:30- 8 or so.

That's a very old section of the website that has not been updated, there is no self-serve bar.

There are bar servers that serve drinks in the lounges, and only during the evening cocktail hours of approx 5pm to 8:30pm.

the only thing self serve is the fancy coffee machine which makes lattes, cappuccinos, hot water( tea bags and hot cocoa packets) and steamed milk.

there will be OJ and maybe apple juice in the morning with the continental breakfast and possibly some Iced tea or lemonade in pitchers the rest of the day.

booze is by bar server and limited to the cocktail hour( 5-830 ish) and basic mixed drinks or wine. no frozen or fancy cocktails.

I believe Brilliance has a Deck 13 CL just like Radiance and Serenade. It's a wonderful place, roomy and bright with a lot of windows, and as a repurposed lounge venue has a true bar setup unlike the Voyager class CL's.

We've learned the CL drink menu depends a bit upon the creativity of the bartender. On Mariner DW was able to get Cosmos and Lemon Drops, but last trip on Serenade a Vodka w/Cranberry Juice was about as exotic as it got. You won't get a Sazerac or Jaegerbomb there but they will have a decent selection of beers and wines and most of the basic liquors and well drinks.

I just pretty much stick to bubbly for the week with the occasional Mimosa. A savvy CL bartender will figure out your preference if you don't mix things up and by day 2 or 3 you never seem to end up with an empty glass. We always do late seating for dinner and, ahem, show up shortly after 5 to "Maximize our Suite benefit" :D

Another helpful tip, your CL Bartender often picks up a shift elsewhere during the day. On Radiance ours worked the Casino, or with Mariner or Voyager he was at the Solarium pool bar. In both cases, the CL free drinks kind of "followed along." ;) Remember this and tip well.

We've done a GS three times (price on the OS on Serenade was too good to resist) and ought to be in one 15 days from now. Have an awesome trip!!!
