New to RCCL - deck hockey! :D

Flood the pool, paint some lines and circles and drop the puck. Another idea, build a few ramps and instant crashed ice course. Forget the old pony races, the casino could place bet on the ice racers.

I worry about snow next Christmas because it could mess up our flights into Baltimore (3 of us coming from Germany and meeting DD who will be coming from Utah). But, as long as we were all able to get to the ship somehow, I would ADORE this. I love snow, always have, and it would be such a novelty to see it on the ship like that.

This was Grandeur January 22, 2014. She likes snow for a change. It cured me from sailing in January. Will board her on March 13.

Too bad someone didn't get a photo from the VCL before it got all trampled.

My DH and I have booked Jan 2016 on the Grandeur also. We have been on numerous cruises during Jan and Feb out of Baltimore and have never encountered snow on the ship.

Hi,

We will be on this cruise too:) We are excited to leave from a port that is only a quick drive away.

Take care,

Sandi

I think I was also on the cruise after yours, January 26.

It was definitely not beach weather the first day or 2 but very pleasant in the Solarium. I'll take it any day to sitting on the tarmac wondering if my plane will get me to the port in time for my cruise.

I watched the Super Bowl on the big screen from the Viking Crown Lounge. No sound but an awesome picture

We were on this cruise as well, I loved seeing the snowmen on deck! We just got back from the 1/6/15 sailing on the grandeur and we left in the snow, the weather was great the next afternoon :-)

We were on the Jan 10 sailing last year and disembarked on the 21st. Just made it home to NJ as the snow started failing on our way home. Whew!

I won't schedule Jan or Feb cruises any more either, as flights get affected also.

But then again the snow is better than the freezing rain we're having now. All 5 bridges to NJ are closed and major pileup accidents on the highways. Out back, PA turnpike is crawling with very few cars . Only thing I see is Mr Cardinal in the tree.

Thank you for this. My dh/ds left at 7:30 am for a baseball showcase in NJ (we are in Staten Island). Have they been closed all morning? I haven't heard from them that they didn't make it over the bridge and wonder how many college coaches will now be there? Ill see now if they made it.
