What To Do In San Juan . . .

. . . before embarkation?

 

We arrive SJ airport at 2:05p, embarkation for JOTS begins at 3:00p and sails at 8:30p.

 

Would you recommend seeing a bit of San Juan? Will we have time? Should we head straight to embarkation? If do have time to explore SJ, will our luggage be taken care of (get on ship) by the transfer company?

Great questions. We are sailing out of San Juan for the first time next November and are wondering if it is worth coming a day or two early to see the sites.

There is a lot to see in San Juan. We arrived a day before last year and planning on 2-3 next year.

 

If you can't do this, you can drop off your luggage at Barachina's and walk around OSJ for a while before embarking.

San Juan is definitely worth coming in the day before - the old city with all the centuries old Spanish colonial buildings, the city walls and the citadel make it a one-of-kind Caribbean port - lots of great restaurants in the old city.

I would go directly to the port and check-in. Next time come in a day or two early.

Head straight to the ship, and start using that which you've paid for!

Forget OSJ. You don't have enough time. Go staright to the embarkation center and get on the ship. Grab a drink and enjoy the view of OSJ from the ship.
