MSNEmommy Posted February 21, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2015 Not trying to be stupid here, but I really haven't seen this. Is my VIFP information automatically attached to my Carnival account or do I need to set it up somewhere? Do different offers go to different family members so that I need to create accounts for each family member? What would a special for VIFP members offer look like? I don't think I've ever seen one and I'm platinum level.
ready2cruzagain Posted February 21, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2015 Go to Carnival.com, sign in, highlight manage at the top of the page, click VIFP Club, click My Offers on the left hand side and....there you go. Yes, each member gets different offers.

One way is like ready2cruzagain stated. The second is by clicking on the "your cruise deals" link at the top of Carnival's home page, and then entering my VIFP number, then clicking the link under the VIFP offers about halfway down that page on the left. The third way is by hovering over "Plan" at the top of Carnival's home page (after logging in on the website), then clicking on "find a cruise" and doing a search there (be sure to sort the cruises by price low to high). I can see the "free" cruise offers there that do not show up in my VIFP offers. When I do that, I can see the offers where I can pay $50 per person to book a cruise and then get that back in onboard credit. Those do not show up in my VIFP offers and I can only see them if I search for cruises through July (this type of offer is only for closer in sail dates). Now besides those 3 ways, I got an offer under my door on my last cruise for a "modified bounce back" offer and those do not show up online at all. I have to call my PVP to ask what sail dates that offer applies to. So you really have to be diligent if you want to avoid possibly missing out on a great deal. All of these ways show you "targeted" offers that are not necessarily available to the general public. Good luck on finding all of yours. Still no luck, but, now I have the 3rd way to try. It is driving me crazy because we are retired and can go anytime! LOL.
kelkel2 Posted February 21, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 21, 2015 Mine always says "there are no special offers at this time". Disappointing...
winddawn Posted February 22, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 22, 2015 Thank you for this. Still no luck, but, now I have the 3rd way to try. It is driving me crazy because we are retired and can go anytime! LOL. Don't get discouraged. Just keep checking. You never know when they will show up and especially with the free cruise offers, those book up quickly so if you don't catch them right away you could miss out on some sail dates/ships. Those offers are for a very limited number of cabins. If you have a really good PVP, he or she might call you and let you know if your name shows up on one of those lists. You might just bring that up next time you talk to your PVP and see what he or she says.
MSNEmommy Posted February 22, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted February 22, 2015 Thanks folks! Wow, I'm so glad I asked. :D I guess I'll be more diligent in checking, I had no idea what I could be missing out on.

winddawn Posted February 22, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 22, 2015 Thank you so much for your encouragement. I will keep you posted. It's all good. This time next week I will be cruising! Oh that is good! I'll bet you're getting excited with your cruise so close! I hope you have a wonderful time. One other thing I thought about is that I didn't get a free cruise offer until I didn't have any cruises booked with Carnival. As long as I had one booked, all I would get were the premier offers and some small discount offers from the casino. I had wondered in the past when I saw all the others' posts about their free cruise offers if having a cruise booked would make a difference in whether I got a free cruise offer. And it may just be coincidence, but I purposely didn't book anything after my last cruise, and then the free cruise offer came.

Must of been coincidence, since I had the Breeze and Pride already booked when I got the offer. Used it to book the Splendor. I don't think anyone's figured out how they dole these offers out, or ever will.
dmet0225 Posted February 22, 2015 #12 Share Posted February 22, 2015 I had no plans to cruise this year -UNTIL- I received a call from my PVP last week informing me of one of those deals I couldn't pass up. I joked with her that the best way for me to get her to call me was to simply log into my Carnival account. Invariably, she will call me the day after I log in. The only other ways I know of a deal is if I get something in the mail.
Rare mitsugirly Posted February 22, 2015 #13 Share Posted February 22, 2015 I seem to get a lot of offers in my emails. Whenever I get an email from Carnival, if I log into my account, I will usually find VIFP offers there. If my email has been quiet lately, usually there's no offers. :) I'm not sure if one has anything to do with the other, it's just how it usually seems to work for me.
