Questions for those just off the Allure

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We are going on the Allure in a couple weeks. It will be an Eastern itinerary just like last weeks.

My questions are:

1. What time were you able to board?

2. Who is the cruise director and how was she/he?

3. What time did you leave Nassau? And what time did you arrive in St. Thousand? What time were you able to get off of the ship in St. Thomas. I have read that it is arriving late there. We have made arrangements with a taxi service to pick us (group of 30) up at 11:15.

4. Any other advice you can pass on would be so appreciated

Thanks so much!!

Linda

We boarded well after most people around 2PM I think.

Cruise director was Jerome. He was great from what I could tell. Love and Marriage game was fantastic.

Believe we left Nassau around 5PM. Arrived in St. Thomas around 11AM and was off the boat around 11:30 or noon. It may vary of course.

I loved all of the shows. Ice skating was crowded but fun. Ice skating show was incredible. Chicago was great if Broadway shows are your thing. Blue Planet was more singing than Cirque du Soleil tricks.

We were told to arrive at 2:30 PM to board but we got there around 12:30 went through the check in lines, and walked straight onto the ship with no wait. Went to the Solarium and enjoyed a nice lunch with no crowds.

We did arrive later than planned in St. Thomas, but the taxis and private tour guides just meet you when you do arrive so i wouldn't worry about arriving late.

All aboard in Nassau was 1:15 PM so it was a pretty short time there.

Do you mind if I jump in and ask what you did on the Nassau day? It's hard with such a short time.

How long was the tour? Did you take photos or write up a review of it? Always looking for unique things in Nassau.

We just walked around town. If you google "Nassau walking tours", you will find maps and descriptions of what to see. We got some yummy chocolate from the Graycliff Chocolatier at the Graycliff Hotel. (Be prepared to pay about $2.00 for a small piece.) In a couple of hours, you can see a lot of the sites.

Check out the link that I posted.

The scheduled length was three hours, but we ended up at 3 hours, 40 minutes. Fantastic guide, great stuff. LOVED it.

As I said, this was just yesterday. I'll post something, including food porn pics, when I get home.

They also have an "interactive chocolate tour" where you learn to make your own candies! SOOOOO much fun. May not be available to be booked through your cruise ship, so contact them directly.
