wdblake Posted March 9, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2015 Sailing in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know what free movies are being shown on the stateroom TV? Thanks!
donaldsc Posted March 9, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2015 I do not mean this to be picking on you but am asking it as a general question, If one is on a cruise, why would one spend it sitting in the stateroom watching movies? Can't figure out why. DON
asdjl Posted March 9, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 9, 2015 Because sometimes you want some downtime at the end of the day or night, or you have kids who want to relax, because you don't often have a chance in your "regular" life to watch a whole movie uninterrupted, there are tons of reasons. Why are you making a judgmental comment? If you don't know the answer to what movies are being shown, just move on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

cruisead Posted March 10, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 10, 2015 We were on Equinox on Feb 13, and despite the fact that I checked the movie list every day, I did not recognize one single title other than 12 Years A Slave. Seriously, the movies sucked and were very obscure.

blindrid Posted March 10, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 10, 2015 (edited) Regardless of whiners, the movies change. We would watch some, sometimes pieces at a time, but were worthwhile. Great way to spend nap time. I'm glad others want to go 25/7. My cruises are to do what I want, when I want. Caught some movies I hadn't seen. And if one doesn't always feel the need to be with the crowd one might want to step away and enjoy a movie or enjoy ones balcony.

alenushka Posted March 10, 2015 #11 Share Posted March 10, 2015 does anyone know what movies they are showing in their movie theater? Thank you.
gopro63 Posted March 10, 2015 #12 Share Posted March 10, 2015 A bunch of SMA's... You get 20 movie titles, most are the same as you see in the theater. For some people they do not know how to turn off business, when on a trip, so what movies are there. do not change for good few months at a clip. Since this is the Net. maybe people who ben on will check back in, if they desire?

CathyCruises Posted March 10, 2015 #14 Share Posted March 10, 2015 Most recently we've been doing TA's. Headed east, we have to set the clocks ahead every night for six nights. So what used to be 9PM becomes 3 AM. Believe me, we watch a LOT of movies when we go to our cabin in the evenings!
wdblake Posted March 10, 2015 Author #15 Share Posted March 10, 2015 In the evening after dinner we like to get a cocktail and retire to our room to watch a movie together. My wife's work is demanding and she spends most evenings doing paperwork which prevent her from following a good movie. The song and dance shows are kind of been there done that for us, we don't gamble and the smaller venue shows can get crowded. Plus what better way to watch a movie than with room service?? We even bring a hard drive with our own dvds burned to it and use a media player to play them back on the stateroom TV. Happy Cruising y'all!
