At the end of a cruise if a server or bartender has gone above and beyond, I will hand them some cash. I see no reason to do it on a drink by drink basis.

 

Pretty much what we do. If we've had the same server for a majority of the cruise (and that's not unusual, since we tend to do the same thing every night), we'll tip extra toward the end of the cruise.

Depends what we're getting...opening a beer isn't really worth more than the standard tip! If we use one particular bartender all week, we'll tip an extra $20 or so on the last evening. If we get something really difficult to make, then we'll add something to the tab...but that's rare!
