kcarrots1 Posted March 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Just curious as to how many people tip beyond the 15% - 18% that is already added onto your bar bill?
Rare Scrapnana Posted March 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2015 At the end of a cruise if a server or bartender has gone above and beyond, I will hand them some cash. I see no reason to do it on a drink by drink basis.

I see no reason to do it on a drink by drink basis. Pretty much what we do. If we've had the same server for a majority of the cruise (and that's not unusual, since we tend to do the same thing every night), we'll tip extra toward the end of the cruise. cb at sea Posted March 23, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) Depends what we're getting...opening a beer isn't really worth more than the standard tip! If we use one particular bartender all week, we'll tip an extra $20 or so on the last evening. If we get something really difficult to make, then we'll add something to the tab...but that's rare! Rare geoherb Posted March 23, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 23, 2015 We'll tip a little bit extra the last night of a cruise if there's a bar steward who has done an exceptional job.
OCruisers Posted March 23, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Like many of the rest of you, we tip the bartenders who have served us often extra in cash at the end of each sailing. :) LuLu
