Good afternoon everyone! Onboard the beautiful constellation. Just got into our RS. Embarkation was incredible. We we're literally whisked onboard in about 5 mins and have been pampered every minute since. Had first lunch in Luminae and it was amazing. Please forgive the rough pics but I thought you all would enjoy a first look. My amazing husband had the seafood Brochette entree and I had the duck club with a side of the Butternut Squash Risotto. Words cannot describe the taste bud bliss!

One would hope the food tastes better than it looks. 4 out of 10 for presentation.

We are on board Constellation also in a RS. We did not dine in luminae but we did stop by and checked it out. The lunch menu looked wonderful, but we chose to eat in Bistro on Five. We have dinner reservation fot luminae tonight for dinner.

As far as the new RS perks, there seems to be a few hiccups. We learned Bistro on Five is not included as part of the complimentary specialty dining which was a disappointment to learn, only Tuscan Grill and Ocean Blue. Our butler was also not aware of the unlimited internet package or the complimentary mini bar in the RS.

I spoke with Leo the Concierge about it. He said we would have a code for the internet package in the blue folder we recieved at embarkation, but I could not find the code. Leo was also unaware of the complimentary minibar of beer, soda, and water. However, he was very gracious and told us he would honor what we were told. I did have a copy of the Suite Class FAQ info that had been posted by Celebrity on their website.

For those sailing next week, your Concierge will be Garreth from the UK. Other than the stated hiccups, we are absolutely enjoying ourselves! They are taking very good care of us. :-)

Almost time for the muster drill.

Sorry, that's more to do with my poor photo technique than the presentation. They have gone above and beyond, trust me.

We have not had any of the hiccup you've described.. The specialty restaurant concierge had said that bistro on 5 was included but we chose to try out Luminae, not sure why the different info? Our butler not only explained the mini bar but has made arrangements to switch out our commentary scotch and vodka for rum and whiskey and stock beers to our preference. We had our internet code in our cruise info with our sea passes. The wifi is not working but our butler informed us it will be up when we are under way. Our concierge Leo has been amazing and has gone above and beyond since escorting us on board. A few hiccups are to be expected, but so far we are thoroughly delighted with the new perks.

It looks very nice to me. I wish I were in a suite on board. :)

Thank you, Ed.

Thats the "Summit thread" I suppose. Saw those pictures and I guess the Connie will be the same.

Just wanted to see the Connie as we will be there in a few weeks.:)

Update--

I just spoke with Leo and he said he had contacted Celebrity for some clarification regarding new suite perks and this is what he told me--

Bistro on 5 is included with the complimentary specialty dining (phew, now I can get my crepe fix ;-)

Mini bar complimentary items include water, beer, soda, and wine. (Those airline size alcohol bottles are not, which is ok with us)

If you are eating in Luminae, you cannot order from the main dining room menu. It's designed to be an upscale experience, which it was for us last night.

Other updates--

We were able to get our codes for the unlimited internet so we should be good to go.

The new Luminae menus on board Constellation are the same as the other thread. While I loved the menu and experience, my dh prefers something a little less upscale and since we cannot order from the main dining room we probably will not eat in Luminae for dinner again. :-(

I did overhear a conversation of a family dining in the restaurant last night and it appeared the kids weren't particularly thrilled about the menu either and wanted to go to the buffet. :-P

Have not tried the breakfast or lunch menu, hopefully tomorrow.

Our minibar is now stocked with beer so dh is happy.

Looks like my hiccups are gone and smooth sailing from here on.

Also, thanks to all those CC members posting about the new suite items, had it not been for you guys I would not have known what we were missing!

Thanks for your updates! I looked at the menu and really didn't see that much of an upscale. What didn't you DH like in regards to the upscale? I know food is very subjective. Thank you, Enjoy your cruise.

That would be a big deal for me.

The Luminae dinner menu posted from the Summit did not include a Soup/Salad section or any Ice Cream/Sorbet.

There is no "every day" section.

Hopefully the daily menu will be posted well in advance so one can make other plans if the limited selections don't suit them.

Could you reconfirm that WINE is included...It's not been mentioned in the Perks FAQ's and other places, so would be something new.... Spirits are excluded as you have said, so that makes sense.

Thanks everyone for providing those of us on land an update of your experiences. I expect there are still a few bugs to iron out but hopefully they will be ironed out and you will be thrilled with the new benefits.

The table next to us ordered soup off the MDR menu, so I'm not sure why the different information? I'm posting the menu from last night, sorry if it's a dup. Having too much fun to go through all the posts to see if anyone else has shared. ImageUploadedByForums1428262436.651268.jpg.a61c4eef8416dc04abc506041b807a21.jpg

When Leo and I had the discussion this morning, he mentioned the wine. I questioned him about it and he confirmed wine was included. I thought it was odd also since it was not posted. When I see him again I will reconfirm and let you know. I am in Key West right now about to leave. You may have to wait for my answer until my hubby sets me up with the internet though. I do know that small bottles of wine were added to the counter where all the other sodas were placed. FYI- forgot to mention, we were also able to trade out out two bottles of alcohol for a brand we preferred.

DH is a true meat and potatoes, pizza, and burger kind of guy. Please don't think that it wasn't any good because of his reaction. It's just one of those things I have learned to live with.

The menu does have a few small little palate cleanser and chef treats that the menu doesn't state. But if it's something DH doesn't recognize, he typically won't eat it. The mashed potato had truffle in it so it didn't eat it. The steak was cooked with no seasoning to include salt and pepper, so he only ate part of it.

I am more adventurous when it comes to food and will try almost anything once, so it was a treat for me to eat something new and different. I had the zucchini spaghetti which I liked. The serving was smaller than I expected. I'm sure I could have asked for more but didn't. The service was more upscale than the main dining room and to me ambiance has an impact on how I percieve the experience. I will say some of the tables were very close to each other, however I also noticed they try to separate people about the restaurant so people weren't occupyimg the tables right beside you. I also do agree the menu choices were limited and would have liked to see more courses listed and separate out apps, soups, and salads. If I had to critique anything in a negative way, it would be the butter. It was pretty, shaped like a cross between an egg and a behive, but it tasted more like unsalted crisco. I just ate my bread without the butter.

Leo mentioned they will be looking for feedback and making adjustments if needed.

Correct, there was no everyday menu. I would have liked to have seen some ice cream also. I didn't ask because I had been told earlier, we could not order off the regular menu.

Almost sailaway time and I just learned the Easter Bunny is at the pool!

BecT: Thank you for taking the time to explain your DH opinions. This puts much more light on the menu, choices and preparation. I am sure many more of us will get a lot more info from your postings than what Celebrity puts out.
