New bar menus from the Getaway

There was some discussion a few weeks ago about the limited menus which were available after the recent price increase.

On the Getaway last week, the bar menus did differ between bars. As far as I could tell, the majority of pages (beers, spirits, wines etc) were all the same, but the front two pages were different between bars.

I took some pictures from various places. Hopefully these links will work.

Firstly, these are the pages which I don't think changed:

Can anyone tell me if you the ultimate package included in your cruise fare and it includes drinks upto $11 is that including the tip or if you order a drink for $11 you would pay the tip on you onboard account, or do you still pay the 15% tipon every drink you order regardless im slightly confused

Thanks so much for posting the new bar menus. Look similar to the old ones - see my favorite Raspberry Guava Mojito is still on the menu at Sugarcane Mojito Bar.

We usually drink wine at home. I've never been a bar tender so would not have any idea of some of the fun good drinks available. Rum and Coke or Margarita on the Rocks or Tanqueray & Tonic are fine but not exactly exotic cruise drinks :)

I too appreciate you posting from your cruise. I'm in the camp of not worrying about the recent changes but it was reassuring to some who were stressing out. Nothing has happened that will lessen my enjoyment of cruising on my favorite iine. Have four cruises booked and keeping my eye on another one :)

The 18% auto-gratuity is included. You won't have to pay any additional. The $11 refers to the base price of the drink.

Do you know if you can still order martini flights?

Yes, martini flights were available on Jade even with the one-and-unified menu our cruise started with on March 28 before they started rolling out those updated menus out around Easter.

I'm also confused about the UBP gratuity. NCL website says, "When choosing this offer, we’ll also take care of the 18% gratuity that’s normally added to this package!" but a few reviews say that the drink and gratuity are added to your onboard account, but by next day the drink price falls off but the gratuity remains... can anyone shed some light?

Thanks for sharing these photos. I didn't see any stout beers listed on the beer menu, does anyone know if they are available anywhere on the Getaway?

They have Guinness available (cans or bottles). I didn't buy any this time, so can't confirm that they certainly had them, but they always have on previous cruises.

Interesting that there is not one single Margarita listed anywhere? Also, with regard to the Ultra Premium Liquors, why not just put the price instead of "ask server?"...

Probably because Ultra-premium brands are excluded from the UBP 'pay the difference' part too. I see the Chivas Royal Salute and JW Blue have also gone from that section. I wonder if anyone due on the Getaway/Breakaway/Escape can go and get the prices of the ultra-premium drinks from the Maltings bar or equivalent? I searched extensively online the other day and couldn't find these prices for NCL.

We just completed our cruise on the Getaway. We had the UBP. I drank anything from Mohitos to shots of Jaeger. I believe we totaled over $1000 in beverages. At the end of the cruise, all beverages/including gratuities were taken care of. I had no balance at the end of my cruise. So, to answer your question.......every beverage, so long it's under $11/including gratuity will fall off. Safe travels
