Priority Disembarkation for suite passengers?

Yes. It will either come as your choice of tag number or escort off the ship by the MC Concierge depending on your level of suite.

How far off the ship (customs or not) may vary by port, concierge and how busy / many people need to disembark at the same time.

Suite luggage tags eligible for Michael's Club are now red and marked Suite and Zenith and have their own area in luggage pickup.

All suites receive special luggage tags. Suite luggage is unloaded first and placed in a separate area. This new process makes leaving and gathering luggage very easy. Enjoy!

Do Suite passengers get priority disembarkation at the ports?

Depends on the port.

If it's a tender port, then yes. You get tickets to bypass the usual tender lines.

On second thought - not sure if you go before or with Elites, who also get priority tender tickets)

You go right after the Celebrity tours people.

If it's a walk-off then , no. (Walk-offs don't usually require any priority to get off in a timely manner)

In Asia, with long lines for documentation, we were provided priority disembarkation when we needed to meet a guide, etc.

In the information email we received on our recent cruise, it was clear, on objective of the MC programs was to provide priority line access:

"And, of course, my personalized service. I am here to tailor your vacation and turn it into the most memorable cruise you have ever had, so any kind of requests, feedback or need you may have, you just need to let me know and I will do my best to make it happen. No more queues, no more lines, I will book your dinner reservations, your shore excursions or any service you may require to make sure you don't have to wait in line in any of the desks. "

We found this service from The MC Concierge does exceed Elite benefits.

Happy sailing,

Jenna

I was referring to ports of call actually

I'm reading this to mean that OP is referring to ports of call, not disembarkation at the end of the cruise... maybe?

Since priority disembarkation is offered to Concierge class also, it adds up to quite a few passengers who have this privilege and therefore, not such a privilege.

That Concierge benefit is only for disembarkation - doesn't apply for tenders for ports of call.

Both the Suite perk and the Concierge perk are for disembarkation at ports, only! Disembarkation at the end of the cruise goes by times that you need to catch transportation home or if you are walking off with luggage.

This is correct, all suites now get Red Priority tags and bag are first off in a dedicated waiting area. Concierge bags still deliver to the standard numbered waiting spots and assigned departure times.

Concierge Class the benefit is described on the website as :

Priority disembarkation based on your travel needs

BASED ON YOUR NEEDS for concierge, not all concierge bags are ready at once. This is one of the marketing fluff perks they give. If I'm in inside and I get a disembarkation slot I don't like, I just go Guest Services and ask for earlier departure tags and they give them out.

On my last Celebrity cruise in a suite they took the big bags down to a special area and we were able to walk off with those to walked off with their big bags, collect our luggage and were directed to a suite line with customs. I was one of the first off the ship and this VIP walk off was one of my favorite benefits.

On the Millennium Transpacific, priority disembarkation at ports worked in a number of ways.

It was unnecessary in three ports but, very useful where it was used.

At our first port in Japan, all guests had to go through health screening and immigration. We had an early disembarkation time [after the first few Celebrity excursions] and were escorted to the gangway at a time when immigration was not busy and in plenty of time for our lunch reservation.

We tendered at Petropavlosk and had to pass through Russian immigration before leaving the ship. Again we were able to disembark after the first few Celebrity shore excursions and were escorted to the point of the immigration checks when a tender was available.

In both these ports we were off the ship much earlier than anyone else with independent arrangements.

At our disembarkation port in Vancouver, we had a post-cruise hotel and transfer booked through Celebrity. This [rather than being in a suite] gave us the latest disembarkation time. We stayed in Michael's Club until 10 minutes before our allocated time when the concierge escorted us to the embarkation lounge. He returned when our number was called and escorted us off the ship by the gangway being used by wheelchairs and B2B guests [no queue] and through to Immigration. We did not have special luggage tags but our cases were immediately after Immigration and a porter was there waiting for us. [i have absolutely no idea if that was luck, because we were had a post-cruise hotel or because we were in a suite - it may just have been because Vancouver is a great disembarkation port!] There was a small hiccough because most people thought we would have a coach to our hotel and, because there were only 10 of us at two different hotels, our transfers were actually by taxi. No huge problem because the Celebrity staff member responsible found us and escorted us to the front of the taxi line. From our number being called at about 9:50 to being in our hotel room having our luggage and tea/coffee making facilities [pre-ordered by Celebrity!] delivered to our room took less than 2 hours. It was, by far, the easiest disembarkation we have ever experienced.

the disembarkation info is good....but,....I was really inteested in getting off the ship at the various ports of call...I was recently on a Princess cruise and had to wait in a line that snaked all through the ship. I was thinking that giving priority disembarkation would have been an obvious no cost perk for them to give to the top level suites. But, apparently not. So I wondered if celebrity does?

Sorry, we have never had that experience on Celebrity. As I said, on our latest cruise, anytime Celebrity knew there would be delays, we were given priority. Other times, it would have taken longer to go to Michael's Club and then be escorted off the ship! But, then, we do not usually try to disembark as early as possible and, perhaps, we are not typical.

Celebrity's priority disembarkation (and priority tenders) do apply to all of Celebrity's suites, including SkySuites.

Priority Disembarkation ONLY (and NOT tendering) applies to Concierge Class when one requests it - however it is not the red tags, just a higher priority numbered disembarkation group.

It's a pretty simple benefit and while some my not like you receiving it, one of the MC Concierge's responsibilities to help you avoid lines. They'll let you know this and offer, even in ports. Walk you to tendering, security, etc.

The ONLY time we're frustrated that this doesn't go as smoothly as possible is getting back on the ship in ports of call. Getting through security back on the ship can be a bit of a wait, especially on our last cruise as they stopped screening / letting people through every time they had to do an additional screening because someone set off the metal detector, and we felt that was about 1 in 3 people.

You'll have a chance meet senior officers early in the cruise, be friendly, get to know them. If you're frustrated by a line or something else, speak up and ask them for assistance, even calling the MC Concierge (or more likely they'll just fix it on the spot).

Happy sailing,

Jenna

Good to know,

When I mentioned I thought suites should get priority disembarkation in ports of call and priority seating for shows there was a very negative reaction from the people in the Princess message boards. They for the most part seem to think that the people in suites get enough perks. one mini bar setup, and breakfast at sabatini's being the main benefit. And having a bigger cabin should be enough. many said they like Princess because they don't provide all the perks that most lines do.
