kicia Posted June 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2015 (edited) Just found this notice that the Oosterdam is going to be leaving early from Vancouver on July 5 for her northbound cruise. Kind of late if anyone has to change flights. marym933 Posted June 13, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2015 Northbound on July 19 also departs at 4 pm. We got an email from HAL this week.
kicia Posted June 13, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted June 13, 2015 We'll be getting off as you are getting on. I wonder if we will be getting in super early or something, not that we'll be getting off early anyway. I would think most people would come in a day early at least but I wonder how many are going to have flight issues. Are you flying from Tampa and are you going in early? marym933 Posted June 13, 2015 #4 Share Posted June 13, 2015 We are doing a pre-cruise package in Seattle, arriving on the 17th. We are taking the HAL shuttle from the airport to Vancouver. I'm going to call to see if the shuttle times are changed.
DaveOKC Posted June 13, 2015 #5 Share Posted June 13, 2015 (edited) Another good reason to come in a day early - so much less stress! Edited June 13, 2015 by DaveOKC
sail7seas Posted June 13, 2015 #6 Share Posted June 13, 2015 Another good reason to come in a day early - so much less stress! Exactly. In this case, potential air change fees may be higher than the price of a hotel might have been for the one night.
marym933 Posted June 14, 2015 #7 Share Posted June 14, 2015 No change for ground transportation to Vancouver. The bus leaves SEA-TAC at 10:30 am and arrives at the pier about 2 pm.

RuthC Posted June 14, 2015 #10 Share Posted June 14, 2015 Anyone know why the departure has been moved up? I believe it's "operational reasons", which can mean anything. It could be a delay in resupplying the ship is projected, a deep cleaning is planned, an inspection---all sorts of things.
Old As Dirt Mom Posted June 14, 2015 #11 Share Posted June 14, 2015 I will be getting off the Oosterdam on that day. Aha, Father! It's all your fault! You're messing up the operations that day :);):D Have a great cruise on the Oosterdam!

With two departures affected, I though it unusual.

I was going to add it to the list, but decided to stop trying to list everything out.
