Not an offer per-se, but at the end of my last cruise on Rhapsody a couple of weeks ago, there was a certificate in my cabin from the casino for a free ocean view cabin cruise (had to pick from a list), or $750 off the cruise of my choice. I had already booked a cruise on the Allure for this December, so I called the CR number to apply the discount. It couldn't be combined with the $400 OBC I got through Next Cruise, but I did get to keep $100 OBC and then knock the $750 off after that. The agent also caught some additional discounts I could take advantage of. In all, I got:

30% NO REF DEP -$1353

CRBN NO REF DEP -$100

STE NO REF DEP -$500

ESCP NO REF DEP -$150

YHP5-Casino Offset - Slots -$750

Knocked my Grand Suite price (single cruiser) from $5258 down to $2295.

nice.

I spoke with CR this morning also and was told the emails were going out this week..... So we shall see!

On Serenade now. Casino Manager knows NOTHING! I find it hard to believe they will be rolling out a new program the exact same day the managers get the news.

I will be SHOCKED if the new program rolls out on March 31

I agree Nick. When I spoke with them, they really weren't overly forthcoming. Eric just kept saying they would release the emails by March 31. (maybe he meant March 31, 2019..lol). Seeing as we've been hearing about the "new" program for several years, I am not too optimistic.

I sail again on May 5 and it would be nice to know the details by then. He did confirm the look back dates and that I should have my sticker on my card and that if I didn't I should see the host when I board.

I was just talking to Casino Royale about something else and asked about the change. The rep told me it was supposed to launch April1 but she would not be surprised if there was a bit of a delay. She said it could not really change until all of the emails have gone out and since they have not been sent yet, it will not likely be live April 1. I told her I sail April 28 and was wondering if it would be live at that time and she said she believes so but does not know for sure until the emails are sent.

Troy, I was wondering how long it would take you to come back to make any kind of comment and I see, it taken you take long at all. Do you have anything to add about the new program, since you do like to boost your post count.

It seems like nobody really knows the true date and I was told, some of the phone reps at CR have questions themselves regarding the new program and the benefits attached for each level.

On the Freedom a few weeks ago was one of the Casino marketing team members (from main office is Fla.) who was there to work with the Casino Host (and mgr.) She is traveling to each ship going over the new program.

Cheryl, do you know if her name was Stephanie?

That isn’t a very nice opening.

I only played a few hours on Freedom Presidents Cruise as it was a very Port intensive cruise and because I didn’t get a 1000 pts, was dropped like a rock from the program. Looking forward to new plan that is advertised as tracking history and not most current cruise. On Harmony the 7th and will see how it goes. The free drinks in the Casino is not a perk for us as we have the package.

Trust me, my post count is a lot less that a handful on CC. I spent more time counting my infractions than post counts.

Good luck to you.

nice.

For what it's worth (since a lot of folks are asking what level of play gets you what kind of status/perks):

I strictly play blackjack, and never at the 6:5 single-deck table. Horrible odds there, even if you're an advantage player. House advantage on the normal 3:2 8-deck tables if you play perfect basic strategy (BS) is roughly 50% less than doing the same on a 6:5 single-deck table. Cruise casino tables are pretty bad to begin with, but you can still manage a slow-bleed and lots of fun if you know 6+ deck BS pretty well.

I kept close track of my casino $. I boarded the ship with the cash I was willing to lose, and kept that apart from any other expenditures so I'd have a hard cut-off and know exactly what it cost me.

I spent, at a minimum, 2-3 hours in the casino on evenings it was open (with port visits), and probably a little over 4 hours on at-sea evenings. I never sat at the low-minimum tables (and you shouldn't either). Those "$3" tables require at least $1 side bet per hand, and the house advantage for that is a whopping 20%. Don't do it. Move to the $5 table and skip the side bets.

Over 7 days, I spent $3700 in the casino, including tipping quite a bit. For that, I got $750 back as a casino certificate I applied to my next cruise... so, ~%20 knocked off of my losses. Net RCCL made on me was ~$480 a day. Other than the cert, no indication that level of play marked me for anything more than the future cruise discount. A friend who played with me most nights and bet more wildly (who is also a decent BS player) got the same cert, but his discount was $500, not $750.

I'm very sure they aren't just tracking average bet and time spent at a table. The dealers are very insistent about "coloring up" (counting your chips and exchanging them for larger denomination chips) and entering how much $ you left with into the computer. They will hit the computer if your betting goes from something like $10/hand to $50/hand for a while, but they're definitely tracking how much you entered and left the table with.

Nice info on Royale Casino.

My trip in January. Likely lost near the same on slots and VP. Would not have played so much, but had not been on RCCL in 3 years. So wanted to make a showing. Wife usually plays and I play a bit on her card on other casinos. This time we got extra casino card for me, and she played on it.

The whole time I was there it seemed the points just were not adding up. I got OV cert from the host.

Two weeks later I phoned in to book fall cruise. I got two bookings. Balcony cabins for taxes only. Go figure ?

Anyone know what the internet discount will be for the second tier? Asking because of the main boards discussion of D+ internet benefits being changed.

I have been concerned about this information also, but as far as I can tell, someone was misinformed. I have seen a lot more posts from people that have called and C&A knows nothing about the internet benefits being changed. Also on another RC blog, a top moderator said it was false.

I am still waiting for an email about the new tiers! I would love to qualify for a free cruise.:D:D:D:D:D

I don't see it happening either, don't know why they keep pulling our leg for the last 2 years

Her name was Alena (might be spelled wrong). She is the person that leads all of the Casino Hosts.

Thank you

Linda - The name of the woman from Casino Marketing going ship to ship working with the hosts on getting them ready for the new program is Alana. (Some of you may remember her from many years ago when she worked on the Navigator.)

I am still waiting for my email to appear. I am on the Grandeur in 5 days for a b2b2b2b and it would be nice to have more detailed information. If they delay this roll out, it will definitely affect my club royale status if we have to continue to maintain the 1000 points each cruise.
