I must be missing something here. How can we say it is best in mid range when HAL, Princess, Celebrity and Carnival all rank higher and only NCL rates lower?

 

Also, Royal ranks lower in The Mega ship rankings.

 

I was shocked to see these rankings but maybe I just do not know how to read them. :confused:

I was going to say the same. And then, who cares about polls like this? These are done through magazines that the "average" cruiser probably doesn't read - Travel and Leisure. Note how all the winners are the highest priced companies. Them being on top should not be any surprise.

I never pay any attention to polls....after all, they didn't ask me:cool:

 

And the pollster can choose any data he wants to to prove what he wants it to.

 

We prefer RCCL and Celebrity to any other. That's all I care about.

Polls are all about HOW you ask the question...not so much about WHAT you ask about!!

 

We have no idea what the actual question was or how they phrased it.....all you're seeing is the results.

While they may be close in price HAL Celebrity and Princess are all about a more luxurious ,service driven ,more all inclusive feel. RCI is all about the ship as a destination family fun, with ad ons available.

I think the folks that read Travel + Leisure primarily cruise on luxury lines. I received a subscription to keep my AA miles valid, and so far....I don't think we have seen a single trip that we would really like to do or afford.

What is their demographic?

 

How was the question worded?

Just look through any issue of T&L and look at the ads, pretty much explains there poll results.

If the poll would have rated Royal and Celebrity at the top, it would have been touted as the gospel of cruise ships.

Princess: 141,000

 

Interesting you complain about Cunard but not Celebrity, Disney, or Princess.
