We are going to be on the Splendor on Wednesday, too.....Your photos really captured the excitement of leaving from NYC. It's making us even more excited about our trip!

I'm hoping we get to see a lot more of your adventures before we set sail.

Yay! Glad you decided to write your review.

I was on Splendor on the 2nd leg of her repo last fall (8 nights San Juan to Miami). I didn't love her like some folks seem to, but I didn't dislike her. I mostly didn't like the closed-in mid-ship pool area, but I don't really ever spend time there, so it isn't a big issue.

I'm booked on her to Bermuda in October. A couple of weeks ago, I cancelled my solo 1A w/ph (that I'd booked while on Pride May 2014) and moved into an 8S Spa balcony with someone I met on the Pride sailing (her cabin-mate cancelled). So, I'm saving a few dollars (cruise is very expensive, even booking early) and getting all the spa amenities. Yes, I'll give up my solitude, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do, right? :p

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the spa. Would like you to share your wife's thoughts, too. Not saying men don't appreciate a little pampering, but the two sexes don't always see things the same way, do they? ;)

The ships are the S.S. Normandie and the R.M.S. Queen Mary. When my wife and I were back on the Splendor in April I was glad that they finally put a case around those ships, people standing in line at the deli would pick at the poor things.

Oh, I'm LOVING this! LOTS of memories! It never "gets old"! We come from the other side aka GW Bridge and one of our DS'es drops us off and picks us up, so no parking fees, but those tolls... What a great start. Hope you had a nice night and looking forward to reading more soon. So jealous you are going on Breeze, but you all deserve it! Can't WAIT to read THAT review! :p One of these days hope to hook up with you and Patti on a ship!

We have booked an inside spa cabin for a September sailing on the Splendor. The difference between the spa cabin and non-spa cabin was about $150 for us.

Looking forward to using the facilities.

I think you will enjoy the spa facilities. we did.:)

Jeff, I am absolutely loving your review, as always!!

I sure do hope you do a Breeze review :)

Thanks for reading. For sure we will be doing a Breeze review. Can't wait to cruise on her!

Keep it coming!! THREE cliffhangers if you count leaving your house in the hands of a recent high school grad!! Our house would be party central I'm sure if we were gone!!

Thanks for reading. We suspect that there was a small party while we were gone, but we did come back to a intact house. We knew that we could trust Ryan to be in complete control. :)

Wonderful pictures...thanks...have never sailed out of New York..but would love to:):):)

You owe it to yourself to cruise out of NYC at least once!!

Really excited to read this review, as we are going to be on the splendor on August 29th in the very same stateroom! Yours are the best pictures I've seen yet of it, thank you!

You will love your cabin. Patti and I just loved it, and will look to book similar cabins in the future!

You are absolutely correct!! Remind me to buy you a drink when we cruise together! :D
