We just got off Millie where we were thinking of booking onboard. I wish I had saved the flyer, but we found out that X does not have this figured out yet. We were offered the "go Big", with one perk for a price. (Best value was drink package.) then, for $15/pp/p/day, we could get "Go Better." So for $15/pp/pd we could get "free" gratuities that would only cost us $12.50 pp/p/day if we paid for them. We left without booking.

Celebrity appears to be somewhat math challenged. Apparently they're hoping their potential passengers are equally math challenged. However, a lot of us can do the math. Bad news, Celebrity.

I would have taken the $300 OBC for the included perk and chosen the drink pkg ( for $15 per day pp) for the Go Better second perk. Works better in my mind that way:)

I would look at it the other way. Drinks in the Big, OBC in the Bigger. If cruise length is 9 days or less, make out slightly better with the OBC, 10 days is break even, and more than 10 days is a losing proposition. The real question to me is how much are they charging us to go from a base rate (no perks) to the Big package?

I am so glad I booked the weekend before this BBB "stuff" started. 10 night CC at $150/night with all 3 perks. Current price (2 1/2 weeks after booking) is $500 pp higher (granted, includes unlimited internet, but we get plenty through captains club).

And if you want that unlimited internet it's a little over $200/pp to buy it (with your CC discount).

STILL less than that $500! :D

As I said on another thread about this - the new BBB has had the (unintended , I'm sure) consequences of making our 4 future cruises with Celebrity with the 1, 2, 3 package, which initially looked a little expensive, look like huge bargains.

We'll take them but after that............. :(

Karen, although I only have 3 cruises booked, I feel much the same way! By the time we booked the '17 Mardi Gras Cruise, the inventory was down, and the prices were high (to say the least). But, when I recently checked pricing for the same veranda cabin, under the BBB promo -- looks like my original booking was more of a bargain than I thought! ;)
