sleepless Posted August 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2015 When you purchase a drink package, when does it expire? Can you use it past midnight on the last night of the cruise, or does it expire at midnight?
Grandmaanne7 Posted August 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2015 I'm pretty sure we have used it past midnight on the last night. We were up pretty late saying good bye to our new-found friends. I believe it expires when the bars close.
Kamloops50 Posted August 15, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 15, 2015 Can't answer for Celebrity . On Princess the drink package expired when you where scanned out for the last time on disembarkation.
packermom Posted August 15, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 15, 2015 I used it the morning we were disembarking for OJ, and one coffee at Café al Bacio. Don't drink alcohol so not sure about that but it certainly worked for the other.
midwestchick Posted August 15, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 15, 2015 We used our's at Cafe al Bacio the morning we disembarked. I think it expires when you leave the ship and they scan your card.
dutchclogs Posted August 15, 2015 #6 Share Posted August 15, 2015 We used our's at Cafe al Bacio the morning we disembarked. I think it expires when you leave the ship and they scan your card. My experience too -- from memory I recall 0800 AM on day of disembarkation being quoted.
Algebralovr Posted August 15, 2015 #7 Share Posted August 15, 2015 It expires on disembarkation morning, when they close out the computers. In February, we did a B2B. Since we needed to vacate the stateroom by 8:30, we stopped by the Café AL Bacio and grabbed a couple of drinks before finding a quiet place to wait with our books. A little while later, maybe 9:30, we went back and were told, "sorry, they had already closed out the system". After turn around, The same girl was at the register who had turned us away. She apologized for turning us away, and said that if we do another B2B and want another drink, to just let the server know we are continuing cruisers and they can write our drink up on a ticket to key in after they reopen the computers for the new cruise. gimletgal Posted August 15, 2015 #8 Share Posted August 15, 2015 When you purchase a drink package, when does it expire? Can you use it past midnight on the last night of the cruise, or does it expire at midnight? The time that charging to your onboard account expires will be listed in the Celebrity Today the night before you disembark. You can definitely use it in the morning of the day you get off - but not for long. Enjoy!
quicklabs Posted August 16, 2015 #9 Share Posted August 16, 2015 This was just minutes before we left the Summit on 7 June this year. I think as long as the bar is open and your sea pass is still active, you're good.

Tiggertastic Posted August 16, 2015 #11 Share Posted August 16, 2015 We used our right up to disembarkation, one last coffee before the long trip home
dizneydawn Posted August 17, 2015 #12 Share Posted August 17, 2015 We went to Cafe Al Bacio after breakfast in Blu. No problem getting waited on and using our drink package for a coffee before disembarkation!
Lunenburg Posted February 24, 2018 #13 Share Posted February 24, 2018 We used our's at Cafe al Bacio the morning we disembarked. I think it expires when you leave the ship and they scan your card. I just got charged for a coffee at al Bacio the last morning in the dining room. I did not sign a receipt but the charge is on my credit card even though I had a $1.32 CR showing on my account at checkout. I will dispute it. Thanks
miched Posted February 24, 2018 #14 Share Posted February 24, 2018 It should expire as you leave the ship but we have encountered where it stops around 9, 9:30 am because the computer system is shutting down to help close out all accounts to prepare for the next cruise. The service is also shutdown because the workers are busy getting everything ready for the next cruise. There were a few times we were able to get a Americano after the system was shutdown because the workers knew we had a package. When doing a B2B you are in a limbo period because your old card cannot be used and the new one hasn’t been issued. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
cruzzzinma Posted February 24, 2018 #15 Share Posted February 24, 2018 My one B2B experience where we stayed on the ship was that Cafe Al Bacio served B2B cruisers all morning. As someone else stated, when the system was down, they just wrote down the seapass numbers.
