Thanks for the great review. Have read them all if not commented on all, but each is greatly appreciated.

This year we booked airfare first due to a great price and figured we would find a cruise later with Carnival, either Glory or Breeze. Ended up with Princess, which I am sure will be great as well. DW wanted Eastern Carib. for something new. Now new line and new itinerary:)

We have sailed past El Morro and are now heading out into the open ocean…..

After we were out to sea, Ryan and I went to the casino for a few hours. I lost $50 playing blackjack, but Ryan won about $30 playing the slots.

Patti joined me, and we went to the Red Frog Pub for some Thirsty Frog Red’s and Caribbean Coladas.

Tonight Patti and I will be dining at the Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse, while Ryan, by his choice, would be ordering room service. Here is the room service menu…..

The Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse is located on Deck 5 aft, on the port side…..

Here are some views from inside the Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse. The Steakhouse on the Breeze is smaller than the other ships, giving it a more intimate feel…..

We enjoy viewing and listening to the entrée presentation even though we both already know what we will be ordering before we arrive…..

Here is our table setting. This is the first time that I can remember not having a tablecloth in the Steakhouse. This was not a big deal for us, but I thought it was unusual…..

These were compliments from the chef…..

The foccasia bread is always awesome…..

We both had the jumbo shrimp cocktail…..

We both also had the Caesars salad. It was not prepared table side as it is done in some of the other Steakhouse’s we have been to.

For her main, Patti chose the Maine lobster……

I had what I always have, the 18 oz. spice rubbed ribeye…..

Chef came over to our table to say hello, and see if we were enjoying our meals…..

Patti and I both had the chocolate sampler for our dessert…..

Don't mean to interrupt but was wondering if Rob is going on the NOV 7 out of Miami. My wife and I will be sailing this itinerary

Yes we are. Planning on going to roll call as well as the slot pull. Hope to see you there.

Sorry Jeff, now back to your awesome review.😎

We had an awesome meal tonight, and we made sure to tell the chef’s thanks for a job well done!!

As we made our way along the Promenade, we took note of the entertainment going on. There was Karaoke going on in the Limelight Lounge…..

CB1490.JPG

Piano man Brad was leading a sing-along in the Piano Bar 88…..

CB1491.JPG

In the Ocean Plaza, Run for Cover were performing tunes from the 80’s…..

CB1492.JPG

We love the lanterns in the Breeze Atrium at night……

CB1493.JPG

We ran into Ryan, and he and I made our way to the comedy show. Two new comedians joined the ship today in San Juan, so tonight we would see Michael Macy, whom we have seen and enjoyed before. He did not disappoint.

Afterwards, back to the cabin, where tonight’s towel creature awaited us. Good Night!!

Coming up next: It’s another beautiful day in paradise. Our wonderful day in Grand Turk.

They did away with the tablecloths in the steakhouse, too? Interesting.

It appears that they have on the Breeze. But to be honest, the tables themselves were very nice, plus we have eaten in a lot of nice restaurants that didn't use tablecloths, so it was a non issue to us.

Jeff, I am enjoying your review very much as usual. One of these days I will make to the steakhouse on Carnival. Wouldn't you know it, my next cruise on Carnival, is Victory next month and there is no steakhouse:(. Oh well, I will survive. I am not much interested though in ordering those 20.00 selections in the MDR. Just would not be the same ambiance as in the steakhouse.

I love Patti's photos of old San Juan. Last year in November I was there on the Freedom, and wandered around on my own, and recognize lots of places from her photos. I actually fell in love with San Juan that cruise, being it was only the second time there. First time was 10 years ago, and we got in to port late at sun down, so I did not see much of it. This time I made sure I saw something, and vowed that some day I will fly to San Juan and take the cruise from there. But that is a plan for another time.:) Loving the review and photos.

We haven't cruised the Breeze since November, but it's my understanding that the Room Service menu now has some items for a fee.

Is this true? If so, was it a seperate menu because I saw nothing of the sorts on the one you posted.

Thanks in advance. :)

Thanks for continuing to follow along!! You do need to try the Steakhouse sometime. Well worth the cost for the ambience alone.

Thanks for reading! As of our sailing the Breeze did not offer the for fee items on the room service menu. I think that is still limited to a few ships.

I just noticed something.....

You SERIOUSLY need to do something with your signature.

You only have ONE cruise in the future.:eek:

I think this is a FIRST!!!!!!:D:D

I am willing to bet you that you will not last 10 months without a cruise.:D

Funny you should bring that up. Last year when we got off the Liberty, we only had our Breeze cruise booked, then some incredibly good deals popped up. Hoping for the same thing this year, and no, I wouldn't take that bet! :D

completely enjoyed reading and feeling like I was almost on the ship with you. I will check out some of your other sailings, great job!!!

Thanks for coming along for the ride! We're not done yet!

Sounds like a relaxing day in San Juan. You go Patti you brave sole! I agree with another poster you 2 make a great team, great writing great pics.

Thanks Andrea. It was a very relaxing day. Patti tells me she always felt safe because there were other cruise ship passengers around.

Great review. And thanks for the amazing pictures. We're on Royal next year but I am keeping my eye open for other lines as the water areas and activities seem great for kids.

Thanks for reading!! You should give Carnival, especially the Breeze, a try sometime.

Thank you for the in depth awesome review!. Loving your photos too.. Will be on the Breeze Nov 7th just 43 days!!

Thanks for following along. Enjoy your cruise on the Breeze!!

Curious, does OSJ have a reputation of not being safe? I've been there a few times, and walked all over by myself. Never got any kind of vibe to be careful.

Not at all. A few posters commented that Patti must be brave to walk around the various ports by herself, but she said that it wasn't an issue since there were so many passengers around. Like just about anywhere you go, be aware of your surroundings and it's all good.

Day 7 – Grand Turk 9am to 5pm

CB1495.jpg

We were up at 7am in anticipation of our arrival in Grand Turk. After Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk is our second favorite beach day port of call. We have visited Grand Turk may times over the last eight or nine years or so, and this visit will be our third one here this year.

We have reserved a poolside cabana at Margaritaville, so our game plan for today is as follows. I will debark the ship as soon as possible after the ship is cleared, head over to Margaritaville, obtain our favorite cabana, get my bucket of Landsharks, and then relax in the pool. Patti and Ryan will meet me there about an hour later.

First things first, I head up to the Lido deck to get a breakfast burrito. When I get up there, what I see makes me run down back to the cabin to get one of the cameras. What I saw was an army of towel creatures, of all shapes and sizes, hogging up all the available space at the Beach Pool…..
