Seadreams27 Posted September 2, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2015 Hi all, we are doing a cruise on the Golden Princess in January next year and was wondering about the bathrobes. Are they supplied to all cabins? Do you pay for them? If so, what price? We will be in a mini suite if that makes any difference. Thank you. :)

happysnapper Posted September 2, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2015 If you check on the Princess website and click on deck plans and suites it usually indicates what's included in each category of cabin.
GUT2407 Posted September 2, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 2, 2015 We haven't been on Princess for a while, but always had a robe. You can buy them if you want to take it home.
Seadreams27 Posted September 2, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted September 2, 2015 Thanks, have tried looking but bathrobes are not mentioned anywhere and we would like to know as if they are supplied it will be one less thing to pack. GUT2407 how long ago where you on a Princess ship that supplied them? Trying to work out if this is no longer available as I'm sure years ago I read that they were. Kiwi Kruzer Posted September 2, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 2, 2015 Depending on your Stateroom grade some robes are supplied , otherwise as stated above you can purchase them.I did the Ultimate Ships Tour and one of the heavy grade luxury robes was included as a gift...( a gift you had paid for:D) http://www.princess.com/learn/cruise-gifts-celebrations/gifts-and-services/
awesome girl Posted September 2, 2015 #7 Share Posted September 2, 2015 Just ask your cabin steward, they are the waffle robes, then leave them behind at the end of the cruise.:)
lovelycat Posted September 2, 2015 #8 Share Posted September 2, 2015 Your cruise personalizer should have a designation for robes. If not, just ask your steward. There is no charge. Just leave it in your cabin at the end of your voyage. I have always had a robe provided in balcony cabin. Shazzajoy Posted September 7, 2015 #11 Share Posted September 7, 2015 Was on the Sun Princess last week. There are no robes in the rooms, but the information supplied in the cabin said to ask the Steward if you would like robes. They are waffle robes - nothing flash, but they do the trick. Rare Kinkacruiser Posted September 7, 2015 #12 Share Posted September 7, 2015 Definitely not "one size fits all". Some are newer/softer than others, but still very much appreciated.

Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted September 8, 2015 #14 Share Posted September 8, 2015 I've never thought of taking bathrobes on a cruise. Most of the time you don't need one, unless you have a balcony and want to go out on it first thing in the morning before dressing. That's when a robe is useful. I gave up expecting to get robes to fit me decades ago. Even when I was relatively slim most hotel robes gaped in all the wrong places. They are not designed for the female shape. I now have a beautiful fine cotton lawn robe, that I bought online from a UK company, that I use for travel. It's so light it packs down very small and weighs very little. Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted September 8, 2015 #16 Share Posted September 8, 2015 People wear them from their cabins to the pool. I don't, they are far too hot. I prefer a light kaftan that actually covers me.
The_Big_M Posted September 8, 2015 #17 Share Posted September 8, 2015 People wear them from their cabins to the pool. Yes, that's where I see them mostly used - or to the spa (which is often beside the pool).
