Hello we've done b2b before but always on the same ship this January we are sailing Splendor jan10(which is the ship we got married on) and Conquest jan17 does anyone know if they consider that b2b(seeing if I can get my fruit basket and champagne lol) also does anyone know if the cruise lines will provide transportation from Miami to ft Lauderdale.

I believe what you are doing is technically called a Side to Side (S2S). Either that, or I'm just making that up. :p

They didn't for us it was different ships. We got nada. For our other BtoB on the same ship the fruit basket was not that great, that's all we got from the ship, now the casino, lots of stuff all week on the 2nd cruise. I supported the casino that week from what I won the first week

I mean, do you get any sort of perks or discounts? Do they give you them automatically?

There aren't any except that you can leave your luggage on the ship between the two segments. They will escort you off and then back on again before the second cruise.

Some people may get a fruit plate or strawberries, but it isn't guaranteed.

Ah, for some reason I thought there was something special about it other than just booking it.

Years ago before they became so popular, carnival use to give an automatic $50 off booking the second sailing. Think that ended almost a decade ago.

Currently if you book them with some TA they will give you more perks for booking a B2B

Somebody used the S2S terminology a few months ago. I'm not sure if it had been used prior, but that's when I first heard of S2S. And it just stuck!

Make sure both cruises are linked. Somebody who did a S2S did say they received a fruit basket/champagne on 2nd cruise, but others said they did not. This was on a thread awhile back.

Just did a back to back on Breeze in June. They took our pictures with banner before we were escorted off ship (a group one and just my daughter & I) and back on. Later in week they delivered the pictures and fruit basket. The pictures were nice but wish I would have known. I showed up in bathing suit coverup and no makeup lol.

We always do b2b's since it makes it more money savvy with having to travel so far. Last year we did a S2S2b2b2b. The answers are, no, never anything for a S2s (by the way, have seen it called that for years Also, no transportation especially from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale.

Well, you do get to cruise twice as long :)

It's mostly just a status brag here on the boards, IMO. Rather than two cruises- ooh, it's back to back.

:rolleyes:Really? I must have missed it.

If you booked one cruise and later added another booking on the same ship either right before or right after, Carnival won't know it is now a B2B unless you tell them.

At least they didn't make that connection on my two b2b's so far.
