steelhead1 Posted October 7, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2015 We are looking to book one of the 10day carribean cruises in March or April of 2016. Are the 10 day march cruises affected by the spring break crowd? Or are we better off with April?
reedprincess Posted October 7, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 7, 2015 We are looking to book one of the 10day carribean cruises in March or April of 2016. Are the 10 day march cruises affected by the spring break crowd? Or are we better off with April? 10 night sailings have minimal to no spring break crowd. At best, they have a week's vacation, so those and shorter will have some of the crowd. Absolutely not an issue on a 10 night sailing, pretty much anytime of year. That age group usually lacks both vacation time and funds for such a sailing..
skynight Posted October 7, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 7, 2015 (edited) Spring Break? College students do not have the time nor the funds to book 10 day cruises, they tend to book the short 3/4 dayers. Youth? Cruises the week before & the week after Easter, March 27, may have additional families with children on board, even 10 day cruises if the timing is correct so they children don't miss too many days of school. cb at sea Posted October 7, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 7, 2015 You are thinking of "spring break" as if it's a MTV sort of thing...it's not! There will be lots of kids on almost every cruise during nice weather, but they are part of families...not college frat houses cruising!!!! Rare grouchomarx Posted October 7, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 7, 2015 Agree with other posters, you should be fine. Princess does not attract that type of crowd at all. You'll probably see many older folks who have the time and money for a longer cruise.
steelhead1 Posted October 7, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted October 7, 2015 OK this is what I thought but just wanted to verify thanks to all for the input. Now we book it!
Rare Keith1010 Posted October 8, 2015 #8 Share Posted October 8, 2015 As others have said far less children. Mainly those at a much younger age or possibly home schooled. Glad you are going to book it. Keith
