I prefer Seattle's Best over Starbucks. Starbucks seems too bitter and gritty to me, while SB is much smoother while keeping a good strength to it.

On our last 2 or 3 cruises the coffee in the WJ seemed to be somewhat better than a few years ago when I likened it to "sludge"....or maybe I am just getting used to it?:eek::)

It is still bad as far as I am concerned, after our August Oasis cruise.

 

We actually broke down and paid for a cup of starbucks coffee to get us going. DH would go down every morning and get them.

I was quite disappointed when I confirmed it, but pleased that nothing changed when Starbucks bought the brand. They also supply McDonald's with their coffee.

 

I am not used to walking more than a few feet for mine in the morning. I hope my fellow cruisers will forgive a tattered robe, bunny slippers, and hair standing on end when I pick it up...maybe I'd better do room service.

Royal cup is brand used by hotels and restaurants. They have different grades of coffee. You will also find it in hotel rooms in those awful filter paks

The coffee is Seattles best at the promenade and always found it to be fine. The coffee in the MDR is fine also......So for you it may be horrible for myself it's fine....:rolleyes:

Because it simply is impossible to get a good cup of coffee.
