Opening adjoining balconies?

On both of those ships, the dividers are DESIGNED to be opened....as long as the Captain deems it safe to do so. Some ships have "fixed" dividers that cannot be opened at all.

 

Unless it's rough, the cabin attendant should open them for you...ask on boarding day when you meet your attendant.

Do they open adjoining balconies upon request? On the Allure and the Independence?

I know some ships do and others won't

 

Allure, yes as of 2013. ;) I have the photos as proof !
