dakrewser Posted November 15, 2015 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2015 While digging thru some old cruise stuff for anything relevant to our upcoming trip, DW came across a 1/2 used Explorations Cafe Coffee Card. Could we still use this?
Rare POA1 Posted November 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2015 No. My DSIL had an old one and it was only valid for the original cruise.
catl331 Posted November 15, 2015 #3 Share Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) While digging thru some old cruise stuff for anything relevant to our upcoming trip, DW came across a 1/2 used Explorations Cafe Coffee Card. Could we still use this? No! We tried to use one just after they were discontinued, and it was pointed out that the terms on the back say that they are (were) only good for the cruise on which they were purchased. Same with wine cards. Edited November 15, 2015 by catl331
dakrewser Posted November 15, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted November 15, 2015 hmm, this card has no limitation printed on it except that it "may only be used in the Explorations Cafe". There is a serial number.
Krazy Kruizers Posted November 15, 2015 #5 Share Posted November 15, 2015 The Explorations Café doesn't even have coffee cards anymore. So I doubt if they will honor the card regardless if there isn't any expiration date on it.
take us away Posted November 16, 2015 #6 Share Posted November 16, 2015 Very much doubt they will honor it as most cards are deactivated after the cruise. But bring it along, you may get a surprise and they will let you use it.

avian777 Posted November 16, 2015 #10 Share Posted November 16, 2015 Princess still has the punch card coffee card.. ... since Princess and HAL have common ownership, perhaps OP could use his coffee card on a Princess cruise ...

Rare 3rdGenCunarder Posted November 16, 2015 #12 Share Posted November 16, 2015 Probably 2012... I've never had one of those, so I don't know if it's still valid. But I'd give it a try. If nothing else, there'd be entertainment value in watching the server try to figure out what it is. :D

avian777 Posted November 17, 2015 #14 Share Posted November 17, 2015 Perhaps a test to see how long it would take you to play the "ships' services" card... ... so what was the over-and-under on the test?
