My cruisetour isn't on this list. It's OB6 - which is listed - but not the particular voyage or ship I'm booked on. Ah, well. This sale doesn't beat the price I'm booked at anyway. The current pricing for my cruise is more than $400 per person more than I booked at on the first day the cruisetour became available.

I booked a New England/Canada cruise for next fall back when the schedule first came out. Then in November my travel agent got us the Sip & Sail promotion for the cruise. I am unsure if I can make use of this upcoming sale without losing the Sip & Sail promotion. If I would lose it, I would have to see if the new sale fare and OBC would save us enough to offset the Sip & Sail promotion value.

According to my TA, this promotion is for new bookings only between the dates shown in pdf. So even if this was a better promotion, they would not reprice for you.

Excellent info, thank you so much for posting the chart. Unfortunately my upcoming March cruise is not part of the sale. Today I booked a 10 day cruise for 2017 with a casino promotion I recieved and I see it is going to be 200.00 less. Maybe my TA can get it , we'll see.

Thank you for the info. I was wondering if I could get a better deal on my February 2017 Hawaii cruise. But in doing the math, I got a better deal with the 3 for free promotion and the casino discount. But I'll keep my options open and hopefully get another discount!

You needs new TA. A good TA can get you the better pricing and can refare your cruise by cancelling and rebooking if prior to final payment while keeping your same cabin. Hiwever if unable to refare, a good TA can get the perks such as additional OBC added to your current reservation. My TA has done both numerous times. Telling you right off the bat that it is for new bookings only indicates your TA is not willing to work for you to see if it is a better deal.

I might be wrong about this, but I think I'm learning that Princess just changes the assortment of prices and perks, but the bottom line stays close to the same. Example--you can book a cruise that includes tips. The following week, you can get a cruise that includes an OBC and air discount, but not the tips. Then a few weeks later you can get the same cruise at a cheaper price but no perks. When you figure in the value of the tips or the OBC, it all comes out very close to the same amount.

Or this could be wrong and is just what is happening with the cruise we have booked.

I'm just curious if this is a known phenomenon and I've been living under a rock. Is it just your incredible TA or does everyone here have TAs who routinely get price adjustments when sales specifically say new bookings only? I usually book directly with the cruise line and this is only my second and third cruise on Princess and second time I've used a TA. Always looking for the best deal. Not sure how persistent I should be.

I use a US TA and she is brilliant. She gets all the sales for me and re-fares when required.

Since we originally booked our upcoming January trip she has saved us over $1400. You can't beat a great TA

My TA computer tracks all the bookings. When a sale is announced on any line, they compare the "deal" to determine whether it is worth rebooking. They've gotten me deals on other lines, but so far it looks like we got a great deal on Princess from the start--no rebookings there.

In all fairness, I track them too...I've never found anything the agent missed.

That is exactly what I have noticed. It all come out to about the same if you look closely.

Yesterday, the price of our suite on the Emerald for a May Med cruise went up $900 pp. Guess Princess increased the price so they could lower it (probably to the price we paid) tomorrow and call it a sale. I hate these games.

I've got a 14-day Caribbean cruise booked on the CB for January 2017. I booked it just about a week ago with no added perqs at all (and pretty much the full solo supplement). From what I saw on the spreadsheet, my cruise is on the list so I guess I'll find out tomorrow whether or not it really is cheaper (once the solo supplement and Canadian exchange rate gets tacked on to the sale price). At the very least, I might pick up some perqs or some such.

Trying to keep up with these sales is so frustrating. We booked our Alaska cruise with free gratuities, free specialty dinners and a bottle of wine as well as some OBC. Now it looks like the price in higher (same price for entry level mini suite as I paid for mid ship) but the perks are different. The gratuities which have been paid (pre increase) are worth $200. So I need to back that out of the equation as the new sale does not offer that perk.

Moki's mommy.. I think you're right... it will all balance out in the end. Or close enough that it won't drive me nuts if I can't get it repriced.
