ladylikes2cruise Posted December 1, 2015 #26 Share Posted December 1, 2015 No although some people feel entitled even if they're not, and the staff usually don't want to argue with them. I had a woman just walk up and step in front of me in the line and she had around her neck a red card and this was before faster to the fun was created. I didn't say anything but I must have looked startled because she turned around and glared at me and said "I'm not platinum but I've been waiting a long time!" She looked really angry so I just held up my hands in the universal symbol of surrender and backed away! Lol, and I would have told her that I also waited a long time to make it to platinum to earn my place in this line. You are a far, far better person than me, in this case:p;):D
moniquet Posted December 2, 2015 #27 Share Posted December 2, 2015 Arrived San Juan Pier 1pm Sunday. Escorted to a small office with drinks and cookies. Then escorted to separate security screening. In suite at 1.20pm. Beautiful morning in Barbados right now:D
Captain Carnival Posted December 2, 2015 #28 Share Posted December 2, 2015 (edited) Looks like there are two questions/answers that have surfaced here so.... At the Guest Services Desk there is a dedicated line for Diamond/Platinum/FTTF (only). And here at Port Tampa Bay the embarkation boarding order is: Wedding Guests Diamond Platinum Suites FTTF Special Ambulatory Needs Numbered Zones until seating gallery is empty Open/general boarding Edited December 2, 2015 by Captain Carnival
cruizinisthebest Posted December 2, 2015 #29 Share Posted December 2, 2015 No that wasn't harsh. I am so tired if people jumping in giving wrong information esp to new cruisers. If you don't know for sure, don't give what you "think" is the answer. Here is a tip to post by, if you feel compelled to include the phrase, correct me if I am wrong, you probably are so don't post. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk Oh please. This isn't final exams on here. A person can attempt to be helpful and if he/she is not right either they will recognize it or someone else will correct them. Hopefully politely. If you ask a question then you ought to have enough patience to read several replies. And there's no indication that the OP didn't. Besides evanbob corrected himself immediately and didn't need to be chastised by you. He's also not the only one that misunderstood the question. It Happens. Nobody is purposely and as a matter of practice giving out bad information. Sent from my SCH-I435 using Tapatalk

PAPERBKWRITER Posted December 3, 2015 #32 Share Posted December 3, 2015 A couple of cruises ago I was ignored at GS VIP line. I waited patiently until all three agents finished with their current guest and then each took another one. I stood alone in the VIP line and probably would still be there if I didn't speak up for myself.
cruznjan Posted December 3, 2015 #33 Share Posted December 3, 2015 If I remember .... the sign above Guest Services clearly says "Platinium / Diamond" That should be the answer. We're currently on the Miracle. The sign says Diamond/Platinum/Faster To The Fun.
shdixon Posted December 3, 2015 #34 Share Posted December 3, 2015 Gee that's a little harsh, don't you think? I agree. Its not that serious. Hopefully they were joking otherwise a hug is needed. Life should not be that difficult where we have to be mean on a cruise message board
DebJ14 Posted December 3, 2015 #35 Share Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) Other cruise lines may allow suite guests priority embarkation. Carnival does not. Wedding guest, diamonds and platinums, FTTF, and ultra or premier casino passengers if any get priority. Sorry, but Carnival DOES give Priority embarkation and debarkation to suite guests. Usually there are only one or two clerks. The first one finished comes to the VIP line to assist whoever is in line, then goes back to helping the other passengers. Just takes a little patience. Thank you DebJ14, but Tapi posted an immediate correction, for which I apologized and then I posted from Carnival's policy, all within a few minutes of my inaccurate posting that you are citing. Thought that part was taken care of already....did you miss that? Edited December 3, 2015 by evandbob

Swampbaby Posted December 4, 2015 #42 Share Posted December 4, 2015 Only had FTTF last cruise. I did have several questions at various times and always had the next available CS person step over and wait on me. One cruise I had an ice pack that I dropped off each morning and picked up each night. Will say they took very good care of me and without that ice pack my cruise experience would have been very different.
