ukellie Posted December 20, 2015 #8 Share Posted December 20, 2015 Yes, the FCC is the deposit....you need not pay more until your final payment date The agent said the FCC was the $200 and has been credited to my OBC should the $200 be taken off the total price - does it make any difference weather it's deposit or OBC ? By the references to $200 I assume you used two FCCs, one each. So it works little like this, Say your cruise was $1000 each total $2000, less the $200 FCC balnca payable $1,800. Then you get OBC, based on the length of the cruise and cabin category.
Thrak Posted December 20, 2015 #10 Share Posted December 20, 2015 (edited) FCC deposit is $100 each (more properly referred to a a Future Cruise Deposit) which was the cost of purchasing the FCC in the first place. That comes off of "the price". The OBC doesn't come off of "the price" but is funds available for use onboard. It will be quickly eaten up by the daily gratuity. rdsqrl Posted December 21, 2015 #14 Share Posted December 21, 2015 ukelly, since you used a travel agent, any deposits, payments, and balance due information will not appear in your cruise personalizer. Your personalizer does show the onboard credit you will receive for using your Future Cruise Deposit (the item called "Onboard Sales Promotion"). In order to see your paid deposit, you'll need to consult the invoice that your travel agent has presumably sent you. But since Princess has credited you with your onboard monies, it's obvious that the FCD has been properly applied as your deposit.
