bcaha Posted December 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted December 20, 2015 How cold (air conditioned) are the public spaces on the Getaway in the evenings? Thanks!

MandyMommyof2 Posted December 20, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 20, 2015 I thought they were cool, I was not cold on any occasion. :) Pack a light sweater or jacket just in case if you are afraid you might get chilly.
bcaha Posted December 20, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted December 20, 2015 thank you. I remember being cold at night on a couple of the cruises we've taken.
david_sobe Posted December 20, 2015 #6 Share Posted December 20, 2015 I always pack one sweatshirt on every cruise. Most times I don't wear it but some nights the AC can be very cold and I'm glad I brought the sweat shirt or light jacket. If you hit the beach and suntan or burn, it makes the AC even colder. I find all ships consistently comfortable but definitely can get chilly.
realcindylouwho Posted December 21, 2015 #7 Share Posted December 21, 2015 I am a girl who gets cold easily and on the Getaway 11/29 sailing I was comfortable in the evening with short sleeves, but I brought along a black lightweight sweater. Strangle enough the only place I felt cold was in Teppanyaki during supper! I had worn a sleeveless shirt thinking it would be too warm.
#1TravelMom Posted December 22, 2015 #8 Share Posted December 22, 2015 Same as every other place - including my home. My husband is comfy in the evenings in short sleaves - I like a sweater.

mjkacmom Posted December 27, 2015 #10 Share Posted December 27, 2015 I was freezing cold inside always wore a jacket during early December cruise. I ended up getting sick. Cold doesn't cause illness. Maybe you had a virus that made you feel cold?
LrgPizza Posted December 27, 2015 #11 Share Posted December 27, 2015 I was always hot. I remember thinking that they never had the air high enough. The theater was comfortable, but 6-7-8 Ocean Place always seemed muggy.
old nutter Posted December 28, 2015 #12 Share Posted December 28, 2015 We found Cagneys and Moderno cold in the evenings. They have had issues with the air con on Getaway because it is apparently difficult to control because of the frequent access in and out when the tables on the Waterfront are being used. No temperature problems anywhere else on he ship though.
bcaha Posted January 5, 2016 Author #13 Share Posted January 5, 2016 Now that we are back, I just want to report in that I don't think the Getaway was as cold in the evening as other ships we've been on.
