Rare Coral Posted January 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2016 Juneau in the summer months (including May) have 100% chance of seeing humpback whales and maybe a 30% chance of orcas. Popular companies are Orca Enterprises, Marv and Harv and Dolphin. The ships mostly use Allen Marine. And which port and tour company can you recommend. Although I have not yet been to Alaska (going this June!) I know May is too late to see whales in Hawaii. By that time most of the whale watching tours in Hawaii are not even available anymore. My understanding is they will be in Alaska at that time. And which port and tour company can you recommend. Having lived in Hawaii the whales are long gone by May. We were in Alaska in late May last year and saw quite a few whales. Krazy Kruizers Posted January 15, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 15, 2016 If your cruise includes Icy Straight Point -- there are lots of whales there.
