For us it would be

Set a pre arranged time to meet

Post-it on cabin door

Use the ships house phones to call the cabin or leave a message

Sorry...but "post it on cabin door"...to me that's giving out a bit too much personal info for all to see that walks by the cabin door.

You mean like meet me at 8, my so will be in a show for 2 hrs:rolleyes::p

Or you would go down the hall reading everything that's on passengers cabin doors.

JMHO....which you obviously don't agree with...oh well ;)

Hopefully they won't forget to pack their "post-it's" and a pen/pencil.

I 100% agree with this. It is amazing to me what I sometimes see posted on cabin doors, especially in relation to where kids will be and when they will be back.

To the OP, we set meet up times and leave post it notes inside the cabin or messages on the phones if we don't have access to that particular cabin. It really is not hard to stay in touch. We agree carrying around phones and/or walkie talkies is a nuisance for us, especially around the pool or other water related activities.

I know Carnival and NCL have apps you can put on your phone and for a nominal fee per phone you can communicate by text with whoever you need to ON the cruise with you. This worked out great for us and the kids. I wonder why Royal Carribean doesn't have that yet?

Just tell each other your plans...so folks will know where to look for you. It's not as hard as you think! With kids, it's best to physically SEE them at "check in " times....you can't tell anything by a text!

Royal does have that app, but it only works on Quantum class ships so far.

A ship, even the size of an Oasis class vessel, is not that big. On our med cruise on Celebrity the wife never had a problem finding me. Oh darn! [emoji12][emoji16]

I am buying the 2 device plan so that way DD 13 can use iMessage or fb message with me to stay in touch. We loved the hub app on carnival and wish the Allure would get something like it but this works just as well. I would have bought the package anyways. Now for my sister and mom, I will pre arrange meet times......or most likely find them in the casino :)
